Hi guys !

Long ago I haven't been back in Tamriel or on this forum. I looked the news, good and bad, on different forums and this simple question came to my mind. (For it's not clear)

What do you think about the ESOTU evolution in 2 years of release ?

Feel free to comment your choice, to itemize your appreciation and respect those of each.
Obviously the number of participants in the poll will also have an importance.
This poll is for my personnal study on the MMO Them Park and it's not the only game I study, but, ESOTU need a poll. ^^

(And maybe it will help ZOS ?) ...

Completely dissatisfied, this game regresses ..What's ZOS doing ?

i see more broken than fixed,most of the stuff ive either given up on them fixing or they space their fixes out too far over "major" updates.
toppling charge-still broken
lag-still persists
add a no CP campaign-didnt replace the one they took off
added a set to break up zergs-zergs use the set to their advantage
added a 100% xp buff-grind spots over crowded and upsetting to questers also trying to use the XP buff(bring back craglorn)

I like the game, have fun, enjoy making my builds, enjoy my faction and fighting the others BUT hate the potato server.

Fully satisfied, that ZOS continues !

No problems here, the game has run smoothly for me since the PC launch (EU) and I'm still enjoying the content as a solo/co-operative PvEer with no interest in PvP.

As Above (Tandor) im completely PVE and loving every minute, by far the most enjoyable game im involved in and currently keeping me away from everything else.

Downside - not enough time to play.

Moderately satisfied, some problems affect the game experience.

I like the game but the decisions or actions that bring in lack luster features or things that often times, don't work until months later is frustrating.

The base game lacks
-Working Grouping Tools
-Good Cyrodil/IC stability
-waaaay too many things that don't work as intended which are left in the game causing ppl to get very frustrated and negative
-support is awful
-we still have VR ranks
-crown store prices are outrageous for items added in the last 6-8 months

So im not happy
I pvp a lot and its lacking MASSIVELY
But thats ok cuz fhe pve is pretty decent when the game isn't constantly kicking me from populated areas

Only complaint is that my sorc i rolled is easy mode and i hate how op it is for how simply it can be used
I want it to be harder to clear maelstrom with a sorc
Like i never could heat it on my dk until i rolled a sorc and i beat it under 30 deaths on my sorc first time attempting it

As a both PvP and PvE player im not to happy about how ZoS treats this game. They completely abandoned improving overall quality of the game, in favour of pushing unfinished PvE content/crown stuff just to make as much money in shortest time possible, like even they know they have experation date over their heads(which is result of their above mentioned policy). So yea, every incremental patch game gets worse. Existing bugs are not fixed and bunch of new bugs get introduced. Bottom line is, I would rather play the game ESO was year and a half ago then ESO i have today. Very sad for one of best games i ever played to decline so hard, when it could be MMO legend like WoW was. Shame ZoS, shame........

If ZOS follow the path they have chosen, I think I may just complete the PVE DLCs I paid for and drop the game. I play at slow pace (slow play, like slow food or slow media for example) so I'll play for a little while (and buy crown) but after that...

Very mixed feeling... (50/50)

Game performance is at an all time low for me and it's never been all that great from beta. I do like some additions to the game but the lack of any quality testing and the obvious rush to get more crown store sales is killing the experience. The decline in quality and quantity from Orsinium to the Thieves Guild is a huge concern too. It seems like the game is in milk it mode, Zos squeezing every last dollar from the Elder Scrolls IP.

For a long time I was hugely dissatisfied with ZOS, then I left, came back, had some fun with Wrothgar, and saw that it seems like ZOS are finally doing some stuff, so now I am somewhat satisfied because there is actually some repeatable stuff to do that isn't just straight up grinding, I just wish there was more non grindy content.

I like the general Content of the game really...BUT it is all "Bethesda" ZOS i think only destroy the game...

- They cant fix BUGs but they are very seccesfull ADDING THEM...
- They cant fix LAG issues...
- All Contents and DLC's were Ready in 2014 They didnt add anything NEW...They just sell which are expired:D...
- They only care threads which make them earn MONEY ...
- They answer threads which people say they are good...
- They never listen people...

They should pray to BETHESDA for Creating Such a good game that they still could not break it...But they are going to be there soon...

My issue isn't so much a game quality issue its that we need more things to do. This jubilee cake event is literally the first festival style event outside a few bonus xp weekends around Halloween I believe. We need social events, festivals, horse races, etc so there is something to do that lets you interact with other players outside of group questing. I still say LOTRO nailed this and is a decent case study to look to for ideas

In overall, I like the game. Its still better, in my opinion, then most of the competitors atm. But Im like most people, bothered by the lags, bugs and some mecanics like animation canceling.

I appreciate the dlc and expansions. But would like to see bug and lag fix before going further.

I am still nostalgic of the pvp we used to have in Cyrodiil. Huge wars. Now its spread out between gank, zerg and solo. Ide like to get back to these huge wars every night.

I regret that ZOS doesn't put as much attention into the development of repeatable (endgame) content and reward systems (with the exception of the latest trial in each DLC) as they put into designing one-time story quests. The only decline in quality I have seen in recent updates are the visual bugs with deformed armor pieces of new armor styles. Music, sound, character-related art, creatures, landscapes, buildings/ruins, writing are all still top-notch, in my opinion, or even better than they were in the base game.

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention: The transition to the B2P model was done very gracefully in my opinion. No horrible cash grabs, no P2W, no annoying in-game advertisement, no gambling mechanics. I was positively surprised about that. However, the development of new content and base game updates seems to have slowed down since the game went B2P.

I'm ALMOST fully satisfied.

Overall I enjoy the game and I think most of the issues are currently (or have) being adressed. I like the direction the game is taking with the DLC and the game being more flexible than before (battleleveling, Dungeons Scaling, Cross faction play etc). I'm confident for the future of ESO.

BUT, I'm not involved into PVP.

I really like the game, but I cannot ignore technical and balance issues.
Regular content updates are great, and I think that ESO:TU "relaunch" helped the game to recover from bad start, but I dont like how technical issues are being ignored for a very long time.

I just like playing the game so i'm gud.
I don't have any self-steem problems (well i might have some daddy issues, tho') so i don't really need to focus on the competitive side of anything, which means these "10% this or that" that makes people yell race balance never affects me. I just insta-gank people anyway.

When you're playing mostly pvp, you can't be 100% satisfied. Too many bugs since too many time, and poor evolutions since 2 years (only IC, scaling pvp, and some changes but nothing else really new...2 years is not nothingfora MMO, and PVP is the main point of this kind of game.).
PVE is nice, new regions are nice, and we'll always have some ppl not 100% satisfied about Hardcore content.
That's why i say i'm moderatly satisfied because persistant bugs ruins our game experience (UE server log problems, lags & persistant pvp bugs...and poor new changes about pvp - we're awaiting for DUELS, ARENAS, and more pvp challenge, and i'm personnally desapointed about justice system).

One thing I dislike about the direction ZoS has taken the game is redesigning abilitys and game play every patch. I loved ESO in 1.5. Not so much in 1.6 and 1.7. I still enjoy the game but feel like every time we get a patch it's time to figure out the new meta.

Theyre direction have been grately off, dlcs before actually fixing up theyre bugs and exploits, and a poor perfoming server(s), rewarding copy paste playstyles instead off trying to make actual diversity.

Tried to check back with TG, hoping there might be some stealth, but the poor stealth immersion and the TG skill line only helping those who are terrible at stealth and thieving, really sets that off.

At all it feels like the nitwit who descided to make the horse armor dlc for oblivion is behind the crown store, and that this title have been just a sad addition to an otherwise great franchise. It had the potential for a great game, but squandered it away.

I just wonder why people who are that dissatisfied still post in the forums,or even play the game.
Just my mind wondering about it is all.

Mainly the slight hope that the game might actually get fixed up, and the other is mainly just a reminder of how poorly ZOS reacts, primarly the devs/ combat team barely being present at all.
So in short a sliver of hope and a reminder of what crushes that hope.
