Is it intended that you can cloak meteors?

In this patch, ZOS you made meteor unreflectable, purifyable and purgable
however, you can still cloak the meteor by hitting the cloak button right before it lands.
Is this intended or is it a broken mechanic?

I would like an official response please?

I play 8 Nightblades from beta till the update when everyone was a Nightblade no trolling any old member of Pride of The Pact can vouch for that. After making a character for the other three classes they are OP even with glass canon builds. I can tell in five seconds the Real Nightblades and the FOTM babies.

Agreed. NBs have always been an extremely popular class since launch, even when most of their class skills were broken for nearly the first year of the game.

@Jaronking Not the case. Cloak will now allow you to cloak thru a DoT and will nullify DoT dmg while you are cloaked; DoTs will no longer pull you out of cloak (bugs aside). That is an invalid argument for being able to avoid a meteor. If you are visible and can be targeted, there is no reason the meteor should not hit you. You can simply cloak after impact to nullify the DoT.

I play all classes, too include NBs, and I have to agree it is pretty lame we can cloak to avoid an ultimate like meteor.

    Well let's see.

It's a single target ability that needs sight of the target to actually be able to hit and make contact.

    Nightblades can disappear.

You can't hit what you can't see.

While you are correct with just about every Dot and guard breaking my cloak I see no reason why this is a big deal.If you hit a NB with it and they dot cloak and instead Block it they won't be able to cloak and suppress the DMG anyway. You also have to take into account that when you cloak your no longer visible so of course it will miss.As I mentioned am fine with it like this until they fix the bug with Dots breaking cloak. If they fix cloak then this should no longer being intended.

You can't Cloak Meteor's DoT it's a ground DoT and everyone can counter it don't roll hold block get hit take three steps in any one direction. That damage is weak if you block and no CC.

What i don't understand, is meteor not an aoe?

I guess the reason why you can cloak it is because it needs to track you.

Sure cloaking the DOT makes sence but not really the first impact.

I dunno. I'd like to hear what Zos says.

    Player-targeted projectile AoE.
Another example would be Sorcerer's Crystal Blast.
Casts on a single target, travels as projectile, explodes on contact.

The only reason why nightblades can cloak meteor but dks can't reflect it - needs to burn stamina tho blocking - is, that zenimax leader is playing nightblade on northamerican server nothing else. Nightblade is a cheatclass, in no other game the enemy is able to escape instantly out of combat when his health is dropping.

We learn Nightblade = Cheat = Players they can't face you, players they need to cover and hide to fight against someone.

Watch Blobs on eu server thats how a nightblade is designed, cloaking only 1 time in 20sec for like 3 seconds. But the most guys hear going on 1 shot builds and cloak away 20000000meters and try it again...

Except for physical dmg ultimates those can be on par with heavy attacks

Haven't been on my night blade since update. Can I also now cloak det and curse? As they are technically dots. So shouldn't take damage or be pulled out of stealth by them?

As for meteorite it should function the same way. Any thing with such an obvious count in timer gives you time to block a lot of the damage, break free and get safe. That's mechanic enough to mitigate the meteorite in my opinion

It's up to the aggressor to ensure that doesn't happen with good use of cc and build up to the burst, good enjoyable cat and mouse play to get the kill.

Nightblades are designed to be stealthy Assassins. Are you also mad when Templars Heal and Tank with the best heal in the game more spell damage more healing, same rage for them? How about when a Sorcerer Streaks while inside the best shield in the game hitting you with delayed burst that you just can use a HoT to get though. Let use not forget those super cheat Dragon Knights that have the best ranged and Melee damage defenses hands down.

Ohh and do you Healing award with 3k+ damage and CP into buffing healing cause you're pretty hard to kill 1v1 if you can do my Sorcerer Mage can bolt from anything Bolt twice lay down Mines wait Bolt roll Magicka pot Bolt, Defensive Rune, Bolt, Bolt Bolt.

That is one of the reasons they gave stealth to everybody in ESO.. Imo, I would appreciate an MMO without a stealther class! :)

In World of Warcraft we had a video (first 1-2y. after release) where a stealther demonstrated how he killed other players even without wearing any armor, just by using the skills from stealth he did OP damage. That was -in some way- very unbalanced!
In Daoc (also in the beginning) we had also one stealther class (Midgard) with the same strenghts...

Stealthers are very often (!) too strong in MMOs. So, if you played many MMOs, you can say that picking either a Sorcerer or a Stealther at the beginning of the game was a good decision and gave you huge advantages, as these two classes are often OP. (Firemage in Warhammer online: 100% crit chance and 300% more crit damage for a LOOONG time, enemies dropped like flies and, with a healer, it was god-mode..).

Such errors often taken months, in the worst case years, for the game developers to admit they did something wrong and to patch it..
