Greetings fellow posters, I urge you to reconsider using the post reply button until you have reviewed what you have typed and made sure of the fact that there are no spelling mistakes within the said content you are about to post. Ensuring the utmost standard of the English vocabulary was used as well as sipping some good old English tea in the process.

I do urge my fellow posters to not give into this heresy by defecating the most beautiful means of communication that is English & therefore, I humbly request that that no more grammatical errors are to take place henceforth.

To do so is to invoke the wrath of Sitihs

Just a note to say not everyone posting here may speak/write english as their primary language.

Also, some may have impairments thst may make proofreading in certain situations troublesome.

Personslly, whether a post is written with proper queens english and follows formal grammatic doctrine is far less important to me than the users sharing their ideas and experiences.

I have even seen complaints to posts sbout long paragraphs on forum posts, so maybe there are more than one set of rules, evolving, between online and formal written.

So the grammatical errors here are purposely inserted? Would this be specifically to invoke the ire of our most magnanimous of Original Posters?

Me too, but I still end up having to edit most of my posts because of grammar and spelling mistakes. I'm always trying to improve, though.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

to OP: Also spelling is just memorization, some us have problems with bad memory. Also some people here, like myself, may suffer from dyslexia or some other learning disability.

    Dear OP,

English is not my native language.
Perhaps it is your native language.

    Perhaps you know....
Why is English spelling so irregular ?

English is easy to speak for a foreigner.... well... at least as long as it is simple chatting
But once you have to write it down, it is less simple

and both grammar and spelling are highly illogical compared to many other languages ;)

We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. I'm absolutely terrible at it. Honestly, I browse and reply to the forums on my phone a lot.. and some days I just can't be bothered to make my little cursor find it's way to where I actually need to make a correction.

Heh. English is weird. Oh that reminds me - i before e except after c. Oh wait. Also not in weird.

That's the remark I wanted to make as well :)
But I was not sure if that logic was really applicable...

I knew my English Literature qualification would come in handy one day.. Who knew it would be on ESO hehe

..On a serious note, I don't even bother to check my grammar or spelling half of the time. When I want to make a point I make it, if you can read and understand it that's good enough for me!

I never pick up other users grammar or spelling because 1) for many people English is not their first language, and they speak it better than I speak German, French et al 2) you never know if someone has issues with dyslexia 3) Despite spending nearly 10 years at uni, I can't spell to save my life at times. I seem to have mental blocks :'( 4) people might be on a mobile device and typing on those can be a pain

Even it with dodgy spelling and grammar, it is pretty clear what people mean. That is shown by this example

You misspelled Sithis, utmost would have been better replaced by paramount for a less awkward usage, a comma was needed for clarity between communication and that, (notice the Oxford comma here) and did you intend to say defecating or did you mean debasing?
