Hi folks, we're continuing to investigate this. The Xbox Live status page has changed to show that only their TV, Music, and Video services are being impacted, so we're on the case.
I pray that another company that knows what they are doing takes over and continues to develop and fix this fragmented carcass of a game.... I mean err... yah I can't login as well. Hope it gets fixed soon... so that I can at least play the game at all, and then continue to be reminded of the other 23 dozen things that need to be fixed.

I did it 3 times all successful. Seriously keep pressing A the screen will remain black keep on going.. Then stop at 30 seconds. And give it 10 seconds and the bouncing square will pop up!! Wooo!

Just did what you said and it worked. You're the real MVP.
I contacted Xbox Support before the 'mash A hotfix' was brought to light, and was urged to uninstall and reinstall the game. The game was uninstalled but now the digital copy of the base game wants to CHARGE ME to purchase it (when it chooses to be on the store, that is). Please go back in time and slap me before uninstalling the game, as this will take me days to download when it finally works on the store again.
But ESO isn't working through the store most of the time for me, it's either not there or wants to charge me again. I've grabbed my housemate's disc to reinstall but it's completely halted at 50% (My Games & Apps) and 5% (ESO in-game update). Fury drips from my eye sockets at this point
