@ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_GinaBruno
Yes, I'd like to know if the hotfix will apply for Xbox NA or just PC?

Not yet.
@lordrichter
Thanks for that. It was the ESO Plus I didn't factor in. Basically though my point was that he is capped at 100% like everyone else at present.

They were pretty clear in saying that all XP buff stacking restrictions were being removed.

Show me where they said all xp buffs would stack with each other and not just with the cake please.

Nope, not necessary.
I just want a quick clarification.
Will I be able to stack a scroll, an ambrosia and this or just 2 of the 3?
All XP boost restrictions will be lifted during the anniversary week, so you'll be able to stack everything (just not with itself).

Go ahead and tell me how we all misinterpreted that.

No one is saying they said that.
The bug is that XP bonuses aren't stacking with cake if it would take you above 100% total, because of a glitch that caps XP gainns at 100% bonus.
When they fix it today, they will allow all current XP bonus that are able to stack to stack with cake, up to a theoretical max of 185% total bonus.
The 50% XP bonus scrolls and ambrosia do not stack now, and never did. You use one or the other and can only have one of those 50% bonuses active.
However, after the patch today whatever 50% bonus you use WILL stack with the cake's 100% for a total of 150%. At present using a 50% bonus (either one) and the cake will sill only net you the max cap of 100%.
That is the bug.

Obviously you can't stack ambrosia with itself, but the scroll+ambrosia obviously should, from that statement. It's actually specifically what's being asked.
I actually had that interpretation as well. She does specifically say you'll be able to stack everything (just not with itself). To me, that suggests you couldn't stack scrolls on top of each other, or ambrosias on top of each other, but you could stack scrolls and ambrosias, as they are not the same item (specifically considering that was the question that was being answered). Technically I can see why it doesn't stack - because the scroll and the ambrosia provide the same buff, but given the question that was being answered, that was not clear.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »Stack the cake with everything is what they meant. Well thats obviously you misunderstanding. We all know that all xp boosts dont stack with other xp boosts. The same buffs as she clearly says dont stack. XP scrolls and XP pots give the same buff. They dont stack. Never have.

The question being asked was about specific items, not the buffs from items. The response was that all restrictions were removed, and we could stack everything. There was no clarification about similar buffs not stacking, even though the items are different.

Its the same item. One is just an in game version and one is a store version. Its the same. Buffs dont stack with themselves.
Sure, and I admit that. The confusion clearly arises from the fact that the question she answered was specifically about stacking scrolls and ambrosia, and the fact that she said "All XP boost restrictions will be lifted" and "everything will stack" rather than "every buff will stack". The ambrosia and the scroll are two different things, and them not stacking with each other is the only existing restriction, so it was clearly an easy misinterpretation to make.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »Well thats obviously you misunderstanding. Normally, "the same" doesn't mean different names and different durations, acquired through different means.

Yes, it will. It's being pushed to all platforms today. We'll let everyone know the moment it's live!

When I read it, I read it as similar buffs can't stack together. I understand that Ambrosia and XP scrolls are similar buffs. So I didn't initially read it as go buy both and use them together. But I can see how someone could read it another way. There is some ambiguity in the response.
Unfortunately, its issues like this that cause moderators and marketing employees of MMOs to avoid replying to threads in message boards. People get so worked up and scream bloody murder if one of them miscommunicates. While this was an obvious error by ZOS, its now going to incite a crowd of people that enjoy trolling and complaining to demand reparations. So while you may get your reparations, you will likely receive less responsiveness on the message boards to avoid future miscommunications. So we will go full circle with complaints about ZOS not being engaged in the boards.
