Cake is Glitched

I loaded my sorcerer and did the little quest to get the cake. When I try to "eat" the cake, it doesn't display the animation and I get the message "target immune." When I check my active effects, there is no XP bonus for the cake.

So I load my dragon night and the cake works fine for him. But when I reload my sorcerer, the cake still won't work for her.

Oh well, it was free. I guess you get what you pay for...

    I'm only getting an 82% increase in XP using ZOS's own XP figures (55% according to FTC)

    Update: just tested on a Mammoth in Wrothgar, only got a 55% increase using Zos's numbers.
    Correction: Sorry I used an FTC number, still 82% using ZOS's numbers. 910 XP before, 1656 after, an increase of 746, which is 82% of 910.

    yes, we do need to be an ass about it. hot bars getting reset, buff not applying properly, quest location inciting 1k ping rates.

    I've been playing MMO's since March of 1999, when the original Everquest was released. I've never seen an MMO as bug-ridden as this one, and with such questionable development decisions/actions. I'm a paying customer, so I can give my opinion. Sorry I didn't give you a warm-fuzzy. Truth hurts sometimes.

    I tested against the mammoths and got 1800+ with cake 910 without. I believe it isn't stacking with the 10% sub bonus though. It is slightly off so something is wrong but who knows I only checked what showed in the corner and not what changed on the bar. It may be correct there.

    This happened to me and I found that after dying I was able to use my cake on the bugged character.

    If you die you lose the bonus and you have to leave the pvp area to apply it again since it is a memento.

    They need to make Momentos work in pvp areas. I can understand pets not being able to be used but Momentos are not pets thus they need to make them work in cyrodill.

    I agree, things like Finvir's Trinket were really useful in PvP.

    It does stack with the ESO+ bonus as far as I can tell but it's only giving 100% bonus to the base XP of the mob.

    For example if a mob gives 1,000 XP then if you are an ESO+ member you will get 1,100 XP. If you are an ESO+ member you will get 1,600 XP (50% of base + 10% of base).

    The cake will give you 2,000 XP, cake and ESO+ will give 2,100 XP.

    It would have been really useful to know that you lose the buff when you die >.< Before I did the pve random daily.
    Thats cheating me out of exp I could have gotten.

    Mine is not stacking with ESO plus or Ambrosia pots bonus xp. Just getting 100% bonus to base.

    Mine worked fine, the animation, the xp buff, 100% xp buff from nothing.

    Not using any extra xp pots/scrolls.

    Thank you! I let her get killed that that cleared the glitch. The cake works now.

    Was glitched on me as well. I used the memento and got a sound effect and some sparkly lights, but the cake didn't appear. I didn't even realize that a cake was supposed to appear. I read this thread and saw the tip about killing oneself and THEN the cake supposedly works. After letting slaughterfish kill me (needed the achievement anyway), I used the memento and a caked appeared in front of me on a pedestal. After using that, I received the buff under active effects.

    Why can't I use the HAPPY 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY DOUBLE EXP BUFF WHILE in a PVP zone?

    Do I not earn exp while in this zone? When I turn in quests does my exp bar not go up?

    Is there a reason I have to leave Cyrodil to activate this 2 hour buff only to spend 5 minutes of it waiting in a queue to get back to the part of the game I enjoy best?

    So let me get this straight...I sub... and if I apply an experience scroll that I bought from the Crown Store... these things do NOT stack with the cake as promised???? I had planned to spend this week leveling toons almost to the exclusion of all else and drop some crowns on ZOS as well. I NEED TO KNOW if they've really screwed this up this badly! @ZOS_GinaBruno ? @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ? Please put out some official word on this STAT! Thank you!
