Can someone explain what the difference is between items that say increased "healing taken" and items or skills that say increased "healing recieved"?
Are they different or are they the same? If they are the same then why say both taken and received? I suspect they are the same thing so I would expect all should be "healing received" so you get more healing. Healing taken could also refer to health stolen from enemies via siphoning skill tree for NB's or burning embers and flame lash for DK's. So which is it?
Are they different or are they the same and just the dev's decided to type it differently for no apparent reason?
Thoughts?
Heal = Tooltip * HealingDone * HealingReceived * HealingTaken

Well healing taken is just like you said is healing increase from stealing life while healing received is the amount of healing you will reciecved from all types of sources. So one is specific to life steal while the other one is a general increase of healing. Healing received is going to be how well you are healed, so how people heal you and how well you heal yourself no matter the source.

- Healing Taken is when you suck the life out of a mob like with the Siphon Skills.
- Healing Done is when you heal someone else.
- Healing Received is any healing you get from *any* source such as a potion, a spell or a skill.
From Asayre's theorycrafting post the healing equation is:Heal = Tooltip * HealingDone * HealingReceived * HealingTaken
It would seem from this that Healing Received and Taken stack multiplicatively so if you happened to have both effects on you when you used a siphon/leech you'd get the combined effect. For example if you had 5% Healing Received and 8% Healing Taken the combined effect would be 13.4% (1.05*1.08 = 1.134).
