Do I get trophies from very low level mobs?

Hello,

I'm v16, can anyone confirm if mobs that are very low level, lets say, level 5, 10, 15, 20, etc., drop trophies?

I have been killing shalked, with no loot from them of course, but neither trophies. I have killed hundreds with no luck.

I just want to be sure I won't spend several more hours if they won't drop trophies.

Support provided me this ridiculous response (by checking a game manual it seems) and they didn't even care about finding out.

They didn't even care about spelling mistakes neither. What a great customer support! Phmph!!!

"Hey there,

Thank you for taking the time to contact The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited support team. My name is XXX. It would be my pleasure to help guide you today, my friend. I will be happy to help with this issue. I can not find any information that say the the 5 level rule dose not apply to the collectible trophies drops.

To be safe you should fine some mobs with in you level so you can get loot from.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Warm Regards,
XXX,
The Elder Scrolls Online Team".

Sorry about this but you will have to go to the Cadwell gold area for your alliance and then farm there...

You can get trophies as a VR16 from monsters lvl 45 and up, veteran ranks are treated as lvl 50 in terms of loot & xp.

Some mobs are unique to certain factions unfortunately, the Kagouti for example can't be found in VR zones if you chose Ebonheart Pact to be your starter.

What are trophies? Are they the things you activate for a cool animation? The useless blue items that do nothing but clog your inventory but are easy to delete? Or the useless grey items that do nothing but clog your inventory but are hard to delete? What's the purpose of them? I can see the purpose of the things you activate, they're pretty cool, but the grey items you have to type "DELETE" to delete.. what are they for?!

Trophies are unique drops from different monsters, there are achievements/dyes for collecting them.

They're the blue flavor items that say collectible, they're for achievements. You just need to have looted it for it to count, but they can't be placed into your bank and achievements are character by character basis. They can drop from lower level mobs, but they have to be in range of your level for that to happen, so unless you get lucky killing a mob that is unique to your faction early on, you might get screwed later when entering 50+ or try to find them in scaled Dungeons.

So are they the blue items or the grey items? And does deleting them stop you from unlocking the dyes? Or does the game remember you had it once?

Oh ok thanks for that, did not know. So what are the pale grey items the game asks you to type "DELETE" to delete? That is what's worrying me cos the blue items are so easy to delete. I've deleted 3 of the light grey items but I had to.

If you got them in Wrothgar, those are for the Relic Hunter achievement that gets you 3 costumes.

Ah ok. Thanks again I appreciate it. I may well have got them in wrothgar tbh. I'm not a great costume wearer so I'm slightly relieved.

Edit: you think they would put something in the tooltip rather than just presenting you with a delete confirmation box.

If you are EP you can get them in the Dragonstar Arena and in a small cave bit in the Rhaniza sword school in craglorn

Dungeons are a great place to find these also. It scales to your level and I've gotten many inside. I even found both dwemer trophies from the same spider once!
