Just came back after a few month hiatus to find some positive and some rather disturbing changes.
One of the bigger disappointments was the changes to vampirism. Requiring you to have a vampire ability slotted (which healers like me have no room for) in order to get the 10% magicka regen buff, makes dealing with the lack of health regen and the fire damage simply not worth it anymore. When you could get this without any abilities slotted, you still had the downsides of fire damage and no health regen, but at least the plus sides were attainable without gimping your heal build.
They also nerfed the heal from drain to be basically worthless as a heal, for the added "benefit" of being able to use it multiple times on a mob during a fight. Keep in mind, mobs (and players) get CC immunity from it so you won't be able to STUN them more than once. Since the heal (nerfed to 10% health per second) is now so low as to not even keep up with single normal mob damage, using it those multiple times against a CC immune mob becomes a liability, not a benefit.
Overall, really not happy with the changes. I guess this was due to all the people whining about werewolf getting stamina regen "for free" and so when they made it so that you had to slot the werewolf ultimate to get that, they felt they needed to "gimp" vampire in some way "to be fair." I guess they forgot vampires also have no health regen and fire damage vulnerability ALL the time, whereas werewolf only has poison vulnerability when in form. So, nerfing vampires in the same way doesn't really seem fair.
These changes are so gods-awful I will be curing my vampirism I have had since beta on a character I specifically built with the skill line in mind.
Oh well.
