Fashion - less can be more

While I regard ESO as the best MMO on the market in terms of player fashion, I do think one small improvement could make it a lot better. Like players can convert to imperial style by right-clicking and selecting from a menu, allow players to convert the base racial styles to lower tier versions.

For example my very favourite shoulder piece is Bosmer Cotton. That whole set is my favourite. Unfortunately there's no pic of it on the eso-fashion site. The shoulders are supposed to be bone (I think) but can also be coloured brown to look like wood. For a weapon example, I'm very fond of the lower tier Nord staves. Again no pic on eso-fashion, but it has a very raw look to it with like a woody claw on the end.

It's a little frustrating that there are looks in the game that I love but which are only usable - putting aside the option of seriously gimping yourself - at lower levels. And this bears saying - fashion matters. Being happy with your look can be a big part of being happy with playing. And you want players happy.

Hint : you could probably get away with putting this in the crown store. Obviously preferably for less than your goto 5000 crowns.

I agree - I much prefer the simple, fuss-free appearance of some items of clothing and armour. I don't necessarily mean plain or without detail, but perhaps some more subtle designs might work? There are one or two items of clothing in-game and through the Crown Store that i'm hoping to find / tempted to buy for this very reason. I kind of like the style of armour that doesn't necessarily look like 'armour', if you see what I mean. Each to their own, of course.

The maple Nord stave has a wonderfully simple and organic appearance. Equally, I really like the maple or oak Argonian bow.

Yep, I still miss my low-level medium Redguard armor (the material I like isn't on eso-fashion either). Several NPCs in the Alik'r wear things like it and I wish I could too, the top-tier one is hideous in my opinion.

We shouldn't even joke about such things. They might do it....

I'm also put off by the shininess of some gear. I don't mind a bit of shine and sparkle but the full head-to-toe gloss can be a bit much.

I think my beloved Bosmer cotton is actually one of the clothing items, which I'd buy, except for the obvious problem that they can't be died.

There's this colossal effort required to collect dyes and it's great to have that degree of control on armours but you can't apply any of them to costumes from the crown store.

I shouldn't be surprised that others would already be asking for this. I'll go there immediately and voice my support!
