Player housing - when is it coming and what will it be like?

I hope it's like skyrim. Does anyone have any details on this? When will we get it and where there be housing for guilds and single players alone?

✭✭Zeni has said that they're working on it (i.e. "Soon"), but not many details at all have come out.
This leads to much speculation across a wide array of possibilities.
Maybe there's only 3-4 options, but they're instanced for each player?
Maybe we get to pick from certain plots of land, then several pre-fabbed housing options?
Maybe we get Hearthfire-esque freedom to design?
No one knows, so all we can do is speculate really.

Florial✭✭✭Would love to have big neighborhoods where we could design and build our plot of land ( Horizons). Then again, I would be okay with an instanced housing area like EQ2 where I could create to my heart's content. I just hope that housing is done right and is well integrated with the overall game.4 -

I can almost guarantee it wont be a crown store exclusive and even if it is I won't care. I will spend as many crowns as I need to. There will be so many QQ threads if it is only available in the crown store. It will most likely be added with future DLC. I couldn't care less what method they use to sell them. I wouldn't actually mind paying 5000 crowns or more for player housing or the ability to buy a plot of land--assuming that there are real perks to housing (mannequins to model my favorite armor/weapons on, please, thanks).

There will be so many QQ threads if it is only available in the crown store. It will most likely be added with future DLC. I couldn't care less what method they use to sell them. Im buying a house regardless.

Dont count on it. They aren't going to spend a ton of development time on such a big system to give it for free. That ship sailed when the game went b2p. Devs need to get paid so they can pay for their real life house.Beta tester November 20130 -

✭✭What would be really cool is if they added a new crafting passive that has to do with crafting new furniture and stuff for your house. Using the motifs to make different styles and you use the existing mats to create different types of furniture such as wood, metal, and stone.1 -

But, Things that I assume: it's coming in third quarter, it's not gonna be a payed dlc, but build in the crown store, something like x amount of crowns depending the size / functions. It's gonna be instanced, I have no idea how Zos could make a landmass, or neighborhood type without limiting the amount of houses. Which is what I highly doubt. I also doubt it will be part of a DLC like DB for example. It will be standalone buyable content.
