Idea: Sell bound items as gold sink

I've got an idea for a new gold sink: Add a stone to vendors that lets you unbind a single item. Let it cost at least 20k gold.

Let it cost 1000 crowns and ZOS will be rolling in it.

Said this from the start. Mystics should sell unbound scrolls so we can trade guild mates the gear they need.

I'd actually be frustrated if they added it now. Because it should have been added when everything started being bound. (and it was proposed/asked for too)

    (still want it though)

Master weapons should never be unbound. They should only be available to those who earn then. Same with the 4 trial sets. No exception. Earn it or do without.

The problem you run into is that by choosing to keep the top tier bound your then keeping everything bound because that's all that remains bound anyway. Now I do like the idea of being able to unbind a crafted item, but we are running into a catch 22 then in that everyone can get everything they need crafted already.

People are willing to pay a million for the right shoulder and headpiece of Engine Guardian or Molag Kena, 20k is like a babys pocket money, it will not be a goldsink for the better. By doing this the poor in the game will be more poor, the rich will not suffer a dime from that. Just like with the current "goldsinks" we have, such as respec shrines and inventory + bank upgrades.

Crafters have been the ones who have earned most money in this game from early on, however not by creating crafts - but by refining large amounts of raw materials and then selling the gains from refinement. This is a bit sad and lousy :/

It would be nice if NPC's started selling some of the same goods as crafters, such as buff foods and drinks, spell power potions and tristat potions, traits for research. The prices should not be too high - so crafters can earn good gold from creating and selling their products.... while low enough so that impatient players buy from NPC's. This way a lot of ingame gold gets lost.

Right now style stones for the blue motifs drop everywhere from deconstruction, in furniture and backpacks, while vendors sell them for 15g. This is a bad goldsink.... horrible and useless. Trait stones are worse even, no vendor sells them and experienced crafters swim in Almandine and Quartz.

So the result is that experienced crafters sell all their poop for 50g per 200 stack of the given annoyingly frequently dropped item, if they want to bother ...if not, well they destroy them. I usually sell mine to a vendor for 0g because it is faster than destroying it in my inventory.

It would be nice if ZOS set the droprate down on these abominations, and let the same vendors who sell style stones also sell trait stones, and items for research.

Allow crafters who have researched traits create bundles/ packages of crafted sets and sell them as 1 item through guildstores. Right now if I want to search for 5 pieces of Julianos armor through a guildstore, I have to search for the individual items and browse like a madman to get to what I want << and this even with addons! Chances are also that someone els have bought 3 pieces out of the 5 pieces of Julianos set, so I can never buy a full set of what I want through the store....

At the moment crafters either don't sell their crafted sets or do so by contacting costumers, because using a guildstore is too annoying and completely unreliable.

That people actually defend bind on pickup flabbergasts me.

I'm not asking for a monster set vendor (like they added in PvP), I'm saying you should be able to hoax me a well fitted molag Kena pauldron for my entire stash of cash if you were so inclined to - trading&exchange between players is a crucial part of any sucessful mmo and breathes life into the game. Why on earth would I trade or buy anything in ESO when all the worthwhile stuff can't be traded. Whats the point in making cash? Where is the progression? CP? haha

I'd love to be able to sell my nerieneth helm, i will NEVER use it. Apply same scenario to ANY bound item.
It's the biggest time/grind sink in the game, and it's RANDOM , it has no reason to exist at all. That you are disgruntled now because you put in the time to get it is normal, but it still shouldn't work that way.

I do wish I could unbind and sell all the Wrothgar set items I have no use for.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Nah, then it would allow players to turn real money into gold, and would open up pathways for people to make it pay to win.

I wouldnt use my crowns for a single use item like that. Riding upgrades at least do something other than let you unbind just one object. You only use them one time, but t he effect given lasts for good./
If they charged 5000 crowns for a stone that let you unbind 20 items, sure. That would be worth it,but not just one.
    Only my opinion.

This idea to make a "gold sink" would back fire completely. Even worse, it would back fire with "bonus damage". Why? Since someone cost that much gold to unbind the thing, they would sell it with even higher price. And to buy it, people would have to farm gold even more. It make gold less value and push the price of everything up, make the gap between old and new players bigger. And soon the new or come back after a long break players who had missed the market surfs recently could never affort to buy anything.

Let the Crown store sell a "Style Charm Amulet".

If you own such an amulet, you will find very rarely in nodes & treasure chests as well "Chameleon Eyes"

At a crafting station this enables to change the style of an existing Armor piece or Weapon by using such a Chameleon Eye together with the desired new style material.

Low level players can earn money when they spend time roaming during questing.
    Crafters can earn money.
The on average richer endgame players will mostly skip harvesting nodes and treasure chests and pay money to get their armor sets in the fashion of the month.

"I still do not understand why I followed the advice of Captain Rana to bring the villagers of Bleakrock into safety. We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Now my home village is in shambles, the houses burning, the invaders feasting.I swear every day to Shor that after Molag Bal has been defeated, I will hunt down the invaders and restore peace in Bleakrock and drink my mead with my friends at the market place".PC-EU
