You are right about that. People often forget their own internet provider might have issues, your own video card may need replaced, or your computer might be getting too hot. I've had all these issues. I still need to replace my video card. But, getting a larger power supply helped a great deal.
I'm not a programmer of any kind. But I do know that if I have problems, every one of them can be traced back to my own computer. The only issue I have now is rendering after I use the way shrines.
You can't be serious. PvP perfomance is absolute garbage even on the most high end PC.@jamesharv2005ub17_ESO said "I believe the people who claim to have 999+ latency have bigger issues than anything ESO can fix."

My girlfriend watched me playing this game the day after the TD launch, and she said "WOW, after 2 years this game still feels like BETA"......
Wow my wife don't even let me play 4 hours in the week, she gets very angry... I envy you with all my heart...

It says this:‘of satisfactory quality, based on what a reasonable person would expect, taking into account the price’.
A reasonable person would know that the internet is a fickle thing and there could be downtime for an online service. The key here is a reasonable person. Reasonable people see the game works. It hardly says if there is a single bug or any downtime then they must refund money.
Im curious has any game company actually been forced to refund money under this?

The issue is that Microsoft, Apple, and other program writers have set the standard for the whole world in that they release poorly functioning operating systems or software and everyone puts up with it. They always have. If such laws are passed, then it should be applied to all software companies. It would be unfair and unwise to single out a certain small portion of an industry.
You're either just not comprehending what people mean by not functioning properly, or you're too stubborn to acknowledge it.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »mistermutiny89 wrote: »jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »Id like to see where the EU law says if a game service is down at all they must refund everyone's money.

Id feel worse for people who claim the game doesnt work if they didnt have 8 VR16s fully geared up. Game obviously is working to some extent for them to have that many max level characters.

This game was marketed as an MMO with many features, one of which was massive scale PvP. That is a reason why many of us bought the game and spent whatever other money we did in the crown store or on subscriptions.
I can tell you I would never tell you to play another game. This is OUR game and you are welcome here.
This is the game we paid for, put time into, became good at and made friends in.
It is very cold hearted to tell people to just leave and that they shouldn't make threads like this.
Leaving a part of the game that many people bought it for broken for over a year is indefensible.
It is frustrating and it is getting worse. It is a bummer and we feel like we're getting kicked while we're down from you guys.

Also many of us have invested a lot of time in the game, and have come to grow fond of it.
All that we would like is the product promised to be delivered. Instead we are continuously getting told it is being 'worked on,' while from our experience in the game it is getting worse. 'It' is lag, fps drops, crashes, and other bugs. 'It' is not some kind of small thing that should be ignored.
Imagine a trial goes fine but there is a load screen while fighting the boss and that boss continues hitting you during that. Imagine next during that fight you try to use abilities but they do not fire and you are getting 5 fps. Then you die because no one in your group can use a heal. And again, and again. Straight up you cannot complete the trial.
For a PvPer this situation is easy to imagine because this is about 1/3-1/2 of the fights in Cyrodiil right now.
If trials ran like that, do you think we would see a lot of threads demanding a fix?
I can tell you I would never tell you to play another game. This is OUR game and you are welcome here.
The frustration and the number of posts comes from this situation. As well, it comes from the fact that this is an on-going issue for over a year now with no progress and no end in sight. We want to be heard, we want this resolved, we don't want another game we want this one to work.

As far as wether or not these threads are constructive or offer solutions, well there is a dude over in the update on Cyrodiil performance thread saying he has a coding solution to fix Cyrodiil lag.
That guy has been contacting ZoS in multiple ways for over a year now and has yet to receive any response other than the classic customer service runaround.

Well, that's exactly the thing. They're either not capable enough, not working hard enough or are not willing to put the money/time into fixing Cyrodiil lag. It's been 2 years and it's only been going downhill. The changes they've made are just alibi-changes - removing deer, torchbugs, all the useless stuff they've done to 'try fix the lag'. They want us to believe they're doing their best.Let's all just accept that it's a decent game with some well-meaning and hard-working developers who are working hard to fix what are very clearly major performance issues that primarily affect PvP in Cyrodiil, which is a major part of the game as is PvE with which people experience far fewer issues. There's no need for either side to take it any further beyond that.phillyboy7897 wrote: »As a PvPer it is very hurtful when we are told that we bought the wrong game and should just move on, or that there isn't any issue with the game.

The 64bit client which is in beta was the same, with added crashing at random times. I think I will just give Cyrodiil and break and hopefully ZOS will wake up and realize that their lack of action has destroyed the selling point of ESO, which was PVP. Sad really sad.
You're about to get railed on by players that solely PvE. You've been warned. For some reason they come into PvP or PvP performance focused threads to discuss how much they don't PvP.
The OP clearly stated some PvE stuff in their post too. I'm not railing anyone but I will state that there tends to be more crying on the PvP side and I think PvE players are getting a little annoyed of it. Just because the game seems "broken" to you doesn't mean its broken to everyone else.
I agree. The OP didnt state that the thread was PvP focused thread at all. Some PvPers seem to think that if the thread goes off into PvP land it then belongs to them and PvErs shouldnt be commenting in it.
You forgot to mention that a lot of PvPers have a strong hatred towards PvEers and think were just casual carebears

It's quite mutual as PvP'ers start a nerf thread when they get killed by something twice while it is actually just an L2P issue.
