Why Daggerfall Covenant is so selfish?

The subjects says it all. A lot of DC players in zone chat, more just there fighting a lot without using the chat, a grand war rolling in which AD seemed to be allied to EP to take down DC (it seems the campaign is near the end, I didn't check), and all players split, some doing their best to follow the big mass of players running around and no matter how many times A LOT of us asked for an invite to group, we were solely ignored.

But running outside a group is bad because if you happen to be killed, hardly someone will see you (specially because it's night in-game). Then you have to respawn at keep and run all the way back. But whenever you're getting close, a Nightblade comes out of nowhere ambushing you and following 3 Wrecking Blows in 2 seconds, availing themselves of this horrendous exploit the company thinks cute and decided to adopt instead of fix

When I'm PvP'ing with my guild, early in the morning, at least I try to help everyone evolve a little bit in Alliance Rank skill line. "You wanna play, c'mon, join us". That's the whole concept adopted by EP, isn't it, quantity over quality (lol). Being in a group offers more APs as groupl kills, even if just a little bit, so more of us could get Caltrops or Magicka Detonation, this would improve the overall firepower, at least a bit. But it seems that DC players are masochists and like to getting spanked! I can find another explanation for their denial in accepting help (or offering) by grouping with people they may not know, but are willing to help (or needing help).

I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow morning the map appear, again, bleeding red

Which campaign are you playing on?
I would wish the blue on eu trueflame would split for once instead of attacking arrius as one big blob, dying and giving the reds more and more ap.

i find DC too be annoying when it comes to doing pledges, 20 people standing around the undaunted camp but no ones doing anything. takes forever to get a group together and the PUG struggle is real. wish i could change alliances for that one character.

Can't call me selfish. I have spent my ESO career speaking about the COVENANT as a whole, lifting it up in high regard. Typing about its leaders, etc etc etc etc. Always openly discussing the importance of the "map" coming before AP, and guilds playing footsie with each other.

And I will take this opportunity to say that Steve of VE and Wizard Daniel of CN, when we were all in Azura's Star, I don't remember them ever clamoring to become emperor as their #1 priority. Or sucking up AP in an extremely sissy fashion in order to do everyone else in line for emp dirty.

THOSE ARE COVENANT VALUES. And quite frankly sir, this thread is rather rude and hurts me.

Also lets not forget who on DC runs around resing every fallen DC SOLDIER he can as fast as he can. ME!

You can help - and get help - without joining an arbitrary group. I like to play solo because i like to make my own choices about where to go, what to attack, what to defend etc. Also, not being in a group allows me to go afk whenever i need to without having others waiting on me etc.

And, as a heavy armor sword&board DK - good luck to the wannabe ganker NB trying to take me out 1v1 with WB spam...

Also there are few reasons groups dont pick up pubs without AP being the concern.

A. Pubs are great at not following directions especially the ones like "get stealthed" or "dont attack". Guild groups find it hilarious to work our way around the battlefield to be dragged out of stealth. Its awesome!

B. Alot of pugs arent pugs and like relaying DC group numbers and positions to certain alliances guilds making suprise attacks not very much what the group was thinking.

Those are just two reasons not everyone is inviting everyone into groups.

Seems like you're most upset about people not inviting to groups? There are only a few remaining pvp guilds still alive for each alliance, and most maintain their populations to the extent that they have the amount of people they want to run in a group come primetime without having 30 people waiting in the wings because there's no room, or having no where near the number they want to run. DC is fortunate to have some pvp guilds that will take in random players, but it's a thankless job that's usually frustrating because random people grouping up tend to have different priorities and objectives in mind.

You're welcome to start your own groups? Not sure why the blame is being placed on everyone else. If DC had zero guilds willing to take in pugs, that would be one thing, but I'd say we have a healthy amount compared to other alliances.

At this point, with CU looming, I strongly expect most to bail.

Because it's terribly hard to download the latest version of auto invite and create an invite string for zone and say - Group forming type We<3pugs for invite.

I mean, before you come whine on the forums make an effort on your own.

If you want voice comms - try out Discord - it's completely 100% free and easy to set up yourself as an admin and create a channel where your VERY OWN group can get on and at the very least...listen to what the group should be trying to do.

You know why 9/10 I do not want to invite the randoms in zone? I do from time to time don't get me wrong. Most of the time though the random guy that loads into Cyrodil and types LFG in zone - he wants someone to make him AP and he wants to not understand HOW he got it - not understand WHAT he should be doing - he is a drain on group resources - and he doesn't care to get in voice comms. Those are stereotypes - but 9/10 times they are true. Finding the 10% is hard - and sometimes not worth the effort.

Can confirm. Ran into @Publius_Scipio while I was on my way to suicide at an enemy resource. I whispered him to kill me and grab the AP. Publius, in his nobility, refused and began slowly stripping off his armor, piece by piece. He stood before me, naked, armored by dignity.

This is true. I do not have the option of arresting EP and AD soldiers that surrender on the battlefield and have them brought to the garrison in Bangkorai. Because of this I will not kill an enemy combatant who has laid their weapons down.

I also always let any AD or EP that I can confidently identify as running quests in Cyrodiil be at peace. They may be elves, filthy flea ridden khajiits, women beating drunk nords, and overgrown never seen a dermatologist before lizards.... But they have families back home also.
