Hey guys. I need some advice. I have 2 v16 sorcs. I want to make 1 a tank. I just wanna run purple gear and no hajeko's as too expensive for now.

I don't recommend going Hybrid for a shield stacking sorcerer tank, since they don't require a lot of blocking. I play mine in full magicka, with only 616 stam regen and 13k max stamina, and I don't need more.
Your mundus stone is fine. Try to aim for 1300/1400 magicka regen, 30k Magicka, 28k Health and 13k Stamina (using purple food is the only stamina bonus you need). About the resistances, try to reach the caps.

    About the gear :
Pariah is a nice tanking set but I don't think it's really appropriated for a sorc tank. I'd rather use the Armor Master, since you have Harness Magicka on your bar. If you don't have access to the armor master, use any combination of sets that will grant you the proper stats. (Spectre's Eye for example is a good magicka tanking set)

For your second bar, you'd better use a restoration staff. You can manage your ressources with heavy attacks, so with sword & shield and resto staff, you have a source of stamina and magicka.

    About the skills :
Remove vigor, you really don't need that. Your shields will absorb a lot of damage, don't hesitate to spam them, and if any damage goes through, your healer will take care of it.
Don't forget to put your range taunt in the second bar.
You can also use Restraining Prison (morph of encase), Liquid Lightning (or the other moprh), Negate (best CC ulti ever), Energy Overload (gives you access to a 3rd bar to tank while adding some decent DPS).

People usually laugh when I show up to Tank because they see robes and a staff, but I've Tanked all of the Veteran dungeons with minimal error.

I use Max Magicka Mundus stone because I'm too lazy to swap them around lol.

For gear I go five light, one heavy, and one medium for the undaunted mettle. All gear is enchanted with magicka (I don't use sword and board or block much). The set is Julianos (laziness again).

    Bar 1: (Boss) Resto Staff
Entropy (Help dps and small HoT)
    Inner Fire
    Bound Aegis
Healing Ward (my self heal and OH *** button)
    Hardened Ward

    Bar 2: (Trash/AoE) Destro Staff
    Encase
    Thundering Presence
    Bound Aegis
    Liquid lightning
Immovable from HA tree(I've noticed that the worst thing that can happen to you while playing this style, is that you can get CC and won't be able to ward. I've found this helps)

Don't forget that 100 Bastion is your friend. I love playing this build because it's fun and has a much higher skill cap then those generic tank builds. Have fun!

Get some robes and a stick, stack as much magicka and damage as u can. You will be 10 times more tanky with damage shields and you will be able to move like crazy with bolt escape + you will have insane damage in the same time. 1H/shield only for trials, stick is your bro for the rest of the content. You have to go full Harry Potter.

    I am dead serious btw.

Thats how broken this game is.

Does that include veteran Imperial City Prison v16 hard mode ?

    1. focus to magika (pool and regen).
    2. inner fire for taunt
    3. Incase. should have for CC
    4. mix armour (5 heavy + med bracers + light belt)

Not really that it's broken (though in other aspects it really is), it's just you're able to adopt playstyles uncommon to your class.

Guild Wars 2 was the same when Elite professions came out with the expansion. The Mesmer, formally a supportive but very squishy mage class, turned into one of the best tanks in the game, and it did this by having access to evasion skills, dodging, interrupts and cooldown reduction passives and effects (meaning you could throw up more interrupts, damage mitigation skills and evasions quicker). Hell, the Elementalist - the strongest AoE damager in the game - could be played as a healer with Elite professions.

So it's not really that odd and I do like it when games break the mold. Sure, you have your Holy Trinity and I don't think that's going anywhere in MMOs, but it's refreshing to see developers enable classes to have obscure roles through mechanics different to traditional Trinity paradigms.
