Question about maelstrom dagger & axe, and the maelstrom enchant.

The maelstrom dagger and axe have an enchant, after using flurry (rapid strikes), the next single target dmg over time effect have bonus dmg.
Will the bleed from axe steeling the proc from my single target spells like unstable flame? Im a stam DK btw.
If it "steals" this bonus dmg, will it still be worth using axe or is two daggers better and more safe?

Currently I only have one axe sharpened so I still miss one more before I can test this myself.

The bonus get's consumed by the axe-bleed. But afaik it's still worth using one axe. The bleed hit's quite hard (~1.5k DPS).

For the record, a buffed axe bleed ticks for like 9k per second while active. While it does technically "steal" the proc, at least it is not a waste.

Thanks for answer. So I understand that the axe bleed is good enough to be worth a proc. I was thinking if the axe bleed was sort of the same dmg as the single target dots it "steals" the proccs from, I would go with another dagger with precice for more crits on the dots I put on myself. But this might be different from time to time as well.
