I want to upgrade my mount (purchase another!) however I have spent a considerable amount of money on my current one lol upgrading its speed and so on... Does that stuff carry over? Or do you have to upgrade each mount as you get them?

this they used to be based on the mount with separate upgrades now instead of upgrading the horse it is your skill at riding the horse/mount. so it will carry over on any mount you choose like me I switch between imperial horse and nightmare one
and I keep my stats for riding. new chars will start at 0/0/0 riding skill even if you use the crown store items to upgrade. because that char has not learned how to ride a mount efficiently yet.

Pure cosmetic at this point. Back in the day there were some differences in stats at the start, no longer. Every mount purchased will start with the stats you have already leveled in riding skills. If it's your first mount, zero across the board.0
