Where in this does it say race change. I just don't see them giving a race change. I could see class change, but race change no. TBH I have seen them completely dodge this issue by saying things like the above that in no way even elude to them giving a race change. In fact they have said things like they don't want this to be a Fotm mmo, which would lead most to believe that no race change will ever happen. But go ahead and keep demanding it and they may cave, or they may stick to their guns and not change their game to a Fotm, cookie cutter build game.

Thank you. And TBH how boring would it be with everyone running the 3 or 4 "optimal races" in the game.

Race change is a lazy way out, and is conceding that they cannot balance the races. I want to see more argonians, orcs, and nords, not nearly none. Diversity is a good thing

The problem is deeper than homogeneity. If respecs are sold at the Crown store, we would start to see a "rebalance" of passives on a regular basis.

I'd still pay. On a regular basis if need be. I like competitive play, and the difference is a small amount of extra replenishment of stats every 45sec v. 3500-5k magicka or stamina....

ZoS simply needs to take racial passive balance seriously instead of laughing on ESO live about those poor [race] players.

I think race change would be ok as long as it wouldn't allow alliance change (those with any class any alliance could change to any race but not switch alliance). Although rather than seeing a race change I'd see an alternative racial passives. The race actually determines more of your play style than your class. Any race can be any class but Altmers and Bretons will never be effective melee fighters and Imperials, Orcs and Redguards can never be effective magicians. You can make a Redguard sorcerer, but it wont be a magician. Instead it will go with the stamina morphs of the abilities and use melee weapon to fight.
One way to do this would be some sort of "learn the culture" quest which would unlock other race's passive abilities. (Only 1 could be active at time but you could switch it by learning some other culture. Your own racial passives are permanent)

Example: Character is a Breton and goes to study Imperial culture. He can now mix Breton and Imperial skill lines together. If you think it is too much like that, you could limit it so that players could mix both skill lines but they can't have same lvl ability from both trees. Eg. If you pick Tough you can't pick Gift of Magnus as they are both lvl 5 passive. You can pick Spell Resistance from Breton line but that would prevent you picking Conditioning as they are both lvl 10 passives. Finally you pick Red Diamond and as a result, you have a new type of Breton tank with high HP and Spell resistance.

And about class change, I think that should be possible too and I don't think it would hurt having more than 1 class accessible at the same time as having only 10 skill slots and you probably find more useful skills from other skill lines. Some people might think it as bad idea though and possibility to just switch between classes would be ok too. I started to play ESO becouse it was only MMO that allowed you to fully customize your character and playstyle was not class bound (Besides runescape). Although now I have seen that there are some restrictions based on your race and class (as mentioned above about Redguard mages).

Some players say that there should be no race/class changes possible and you should make a new character if you want to change them. For them I'd like to point out that it is not an option for everyone like me becouse I have no intention of spending 1,5 years to research all the traits again, collecting over 200 skyshards, spend 180 days to train my horse that moves like a snail for the first 2 months and doing all the quests I have done (although I have made some choices that I regret but I have learned to live with them and it actually makes the game somewhat interesting when everything didn't go as you intented. More life like.)

Ps. I'd also like to see a flesh sculptor, who could offer body reshaping and a haircut and a Magistrate with documents needed for name change would be nice too and no, I wont make a new character becouse of the reasons I mentioned. I can live with this one but I'd even pay for these services.

Actually there is. On the right hand side when choosing a race, it tells you what they specialize in.... people obviously aren't reading.

Funny fact...since argonians where/are so rare, i've been trying to hunt down these scaly brethren for a year. See one tail waggin near a rock and I go straight for them. Months after getting this achievment, I still pick them out from the crowd because I know their racials are complete crap and odds are they are not min maxing anything because of it. therefor, argonian= free AP

I'd easily pay up to 200$ for a race change. I invested over a year of work in my character. It'd be worth it for me.
