seriously, this bug is still here?

i have 2 characters, one for crafting, and one for combat/exploration. when i find mats or gear with a new trait, ill put it in my vault so my crafter can pull them out. if i log out (i'm doing this through menu option as a precaution which doesn't seem to matter) shortly after to switch to my crafter and head over to my bank to find nothing i put in there, is there. "that's strange" i say "surely it must still be on the other character".... except its not. i took a break from this game maybe 8 months ago when this issue was happening... WHY THE *** ISN'T THIS FIXED YET, ive lost literally hundreds of mats and dozens of pieces of gear! jeez i hope the rest of the game hasnt been ignored since ive been gone or ill be droping this just as quickly as i picked it up...

edit: upon further investigation i may have found this to be a user error... i hope you enjoyed my idiotic rant XD

Maybe you're storing the items in a guild bank, accidentally?

Hmm, only other thing I can think of is that the characters might be on different servers. Example: one character is on the North American server and the other is on the European server. But that still wouldn't explain why the items are gone once you load up the original character that deposited the items, though.

Never had that bug, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it still exists. ZOS are as bad at fixing bugs, as they are at creating them.

I think in some patch notes was a bug fix about that bug, where people lost some mats in banks

@starkerealm yes i have, in fact i made a forum post about it, an in game bug report, and i belevie i made a comment somewhere else

I have done this a tons of times but never lost a single item...

does it matter if faction is different? Also did you check junk?
To make sure this is a bug, look when you put in your item, if the bank inventory changes, for example, on my bank I can have 240 items, and it stands 223 / 240. Check if this change and note the number of items in your bank. When you relog, check if the bank numbers are the same. If its not and you miss one item, log back to your combat character and check again. This is to be 100% sure its actually lost.

@Ironside do you log out immediate after depositing? because thats the only time i notice it happens... is it possible my game may not have downloaded properly?

@OrphanHelgen: verified it is all factions, inventory goes up in my bank when i deposit, after switching characters it drops again

funny thing is i did not know you can deconstruct equipment from your bank, thought it had to be in your inventory... sometimes i put stuff i wanna keep in the bank then run to deconstruct the rest, and since i thought it was safe i prolly deconstructed it... #feelinfoolish... ill make sure i wont do this again but save a video if it happens anyway haha

Okay, so you were deconstructing things in your bank? Or there's also another issue?
