I like how the devs have been very responsive after patches go live for each system for instance on another post regarding the questions about combat text and the colors and what it all means here is the dev quote. thought I would share it here :)
We use color, punctuation, and position to communicate the type of event in combat text. Color tells part of the story but isn’t fully accessible for everyone, so we use contextual positioning and punctuation to reinforce what color is communicating.

    Here’s a breakdown:

    Color
    White: Outgoing damage
    Yellow: Outgoing critical damage
    Orange: Outgoing damage over time
    Red: Incoming damage
    Green: Healing
    Tan: Crowd Control

    Punctuation
    * : Blocked damage
! : Critical damage and healing
    ( ) : Absorbed

    Position
    Left of player: Incoming damage
    Right of player: Incoming healing
Bottom right of player: Incoming crowd control
Inside player: Incoming damage over time
    Above target: Outgoing damage
Inside target: Outgoing damage over time
Right of target: Outgoing crowd control
    Above friendly target: Outgoing healing

Here’s a visual breakdown of the color and punctuation:

thank you for making this thread! every time I play, I marvel at the tiniest details and my thoughts trail off to thinking of how long, exactly, it took for that particular part to be made. I know nothing of how anything works in the game-making world, so it's that much more for my mind to take in. breathtaking. beautiful. clever. hilarious at times. thank you for working so hard on a game we love so much!

I truly love this game. It's so very beautiful! The detail! The stories!
So many funny, sad, zany, wacko, compelling characters!
I love being able to solo, to move along or just explore at my own pace. Or, to group up if the fancy strikes me.
I love co-operative play. I love being able to help and/or interact with others along the way or being helped by some kind stranger.
I love the ESO community -- so unlike any other MMORPG I've ever played.

Thank you, ZoS. You've given a very positive experience. I look forward to upcoming DLCs as I enjoy the current content.
Keep up the good work, folks! <3

We are assuming they aren't doing anything......if ZOS are in fact busting their *** then I among most would feel pretty bad if we consistently bash them. I made this thread so that the people that actually enjoy this game for all the HARD WORK already invested get heard. I also hope some of the ZOS employees don't feel we take advantage of them.

That's all. I understand your concerns and I know you are annoyed but we should remain optimistic of this games future. sometimes I feel like this community comes off like spoiled children.

Tell the truth is more positive, it is more useful. I am

I am realistic for MMO. I really enjoy ESO, the immersiv', the lore, WE HAVE THE BEST COMMUNITY in this game ! The graph' are so beautiful =D

But ZOS choices for PvE PvP class balance, the DLCs, the lead design, the lack of expertise in technical issues. Please take a look back since 2014 !
Well, to sum up : https://youtu.be/o33iczl2PxE

You can not be only positive if you are objective. Something wrong, the best thing it is to be you not to pretend and be a fan boy.

I am not playing this game with frustration, I really love it but on the whole game goes from a huge potential to something with disappointing results.

    There had to be one.

@qrichou there are MANY variables that go into an MMO, that is a fact. These variables include but are not limited to.........the type of equipment that is being used to play this game. The internet strength, video card etc etc etc. To ask Zenimax to somehow make sure ALL of those variables from the consumer are met is CRAZY. We as consumers have a responsibility to make sure our hardware and things of this nature CAN PERFORM at the optimum level of which WE are asking.....

However......its much easier to come onto a forum and mindlessly bash a company because its easier right? AND not take a step back and acknowledge that this game is LEGIT!

With that being said......how many people that play ESO on xbox one and PS4 have less than sub par internet? Don't answer that question because I know that answer.

How many PC users have less than sub par components to even run this game properly? Internet connection? Video card? CPU? Don't even answer that one because I already know the answer to that as well.

BUT we expect perfect EVERYTHING cause we pay for it............when MOST of our equipment isn't on par to play this game and WE KNOW IT!

We watch advertisements on Fast food places and the burgers and chickens and pizza never EVER look remotely as close to what is advertised and what we receive in actuality and we pay for that and.....eat it. THAT's A FACT. This is a reality.

So every single time you get fast food and you pay money to get it, do me a favor walk back in and demand that the food look just like it does in the advertisement.....on the poster......or don't.

The beautiful thing about this is that you do not have to play this game, that is your right. However I am really tired of most people on ESO forums starting blind hate trains on this company.

You are entitled to your opinion and I'm not trying to take that from you but I also have an obligation for thanking the men and women at Zenimax for making this game an actual reality.

The people that saw this post and left something positive for them to read so they know at the end of the day WE, THE CONSUMER don't hate them. That is what THIS POST will continue to stand for. The hard work this company has put into this game and the appreciation.

    Take care @qrichou

I played the beta, and didn't really care for it at the time. Fast forward to a little over a month ago, and I've bought the game, subbed, and bought a ton of Crowns. I've also got 4 other people, another pending, to buy the game and play. They, and I, absolutely love this game. From the art work to the quests, and everything else, the game is wonderful. I don't see myself quitting, ever. It's a great game. Thanks Zenimax!

Thank you ZOS for making a game with such feeling. The attention to detail is amazing. And also thank you for making players being able to choose how to play the game. Being able to craft the same level of gear as you can get from dungeons/trials is very good.

I hope you continue to put out quality content with focus on story for many many years.

    Greetings all,

We are always glad to see a positive thread. To keep this thread positive, we have taken a moment to remove the negative, non-constructive posts. We would like to just add a friendly reminder that we keep this thread positive and constructive. Thank you all in advanced!

Wait.. so... @ZOS_GregoryV , can we set up threads with specific rules now (as long as they aren't against the TOS) and ZOS will moderate and remove posts that don't "fit" those rules?

'cause if so... I've been wanting to do a "Khajiit speak ONLY" thread for a while now.

khajiit is innoncent of this crime. This one is just borrowing, never stealing anything. Khajiit is not responsible for people not asking for getting their stuff back. This one takes good care of their things. Khajiit has costs with storing their possession. This one has to compensate and cash in the storage fee. This one does not want to disturb them and picks their pockets for the fee without to bother them. You now can see, that Khajiit is totally innocent of this crime.

I like Tamriel and the feels of it.
I love riding through different zones and explore the beautiful World of ESO.

I like that zone chat isnt completely full of spam and sometimes can even be funny.

Im not a big fan of questing yet i enjoy the story. I love especially some of the background stories of the dungeons.

I like how eso is pro-***.

I like how there is basically no legendary-uber-super-power-endgame weapons. Just different builds and sets. Even though it miss some of the ES weapons. But i can play offline Solo games for that.

I like the animation of my character absorbing a skyshard. Very much.

I like the pvp. I really do. Its fun. (It could need some changes but that is something for another thread)

I like how ZOS Support always replied to all my tickets and tried to solve all my problems. And they did in time.

I like how my friends can rant about bugs in this game for hours.

I like all the funny situations that this game got me into. My character riding in the ground. Me being dead but still alive running around. My invisible friends all the small funny moments.

The dancing, the castlefights, the dungeon bosses, the shady NPCs but most of all i like...

    ...to play with my friends.

By far the best thread on these boards at the moment. It is depressing to read almost any other thread - so much doom and gloom and the sky is falling! Thanks for this. I think I grew up in a different time where you just played the game (playing since Atari - lol). If you got frustrated you just doubled down and figured it out. I play the game I am given - if I was as unhappy as some people I read on here I would have turned it off, walked away and tried something else.

I've had some epic moments lately - defeated Maelstrom Arena (normal) for the second time and was way better. Also, finally took down Dragonstar Arena (again normal) and that was so FREAKING EPIC!

Love it - can't wait every night to log on and do some crafting, maybe get a gold temper, run a dungeon, chat to guildies or just wander around.

    Yup - fanboy.

Great thread... more of these please.

ESO is a great game, it's just one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. The weather effects, the time taken to dress rooms, the funny and moving stories. I have loved every minute. Now I am really loving the TTG. Brilliant story line and the heists are really good.

PvP can be a mess sometimes but when it's good, it rocks! Had some of the best times I have ever played in an online game EVAH! And I've been a gamer since video games began.

Keep up the good work ZoS. Keep the stories coming.
