This dude does NOT.
IC A PVP UPDATE? What are you smoking bro?
Filled to the brim with 2 new dungeons and smothered in pve mobs and bosses everywhere. Nothing claimable. Not districts or anything at all. No leaderboards or objectives or ffs even a flag or area to take or fight over. Just die respawn die respawn. Nothing to actually accomplish and streamlined spawns that make for boring, tedious, repetitive gameplay. Just bc you happen to be able to kill people in IC does not make IC a "PVP DLC", it makes it a shoddy attempt at both that remains almost entirely unfinished. And that was all PVP got in 2 years of this game since launch.
Let's count what PVE got.
Every zone besides 1 in the game.
Craglorn update. 2 trials and VDSA.
Undaunted / daily pledges update.
Wrothgar update. And VMSA.
And now Hews Bane update. Another trial.
Yeah that's what I thought.
I've seen this mentioned a few times in various threads now, so i'll clarify some here. Imperial City is meant for the PVP player - it's their turn for some love. If you love PVE and are clamoring for more of that type of content, the Orsinium DLC will be exactly what you want.

Very clearly sold and described as a pvp expansion.

Also Wrobel said when asked about why they were doing a PVP expansion first he said "PVE has gotten all the love for a long time. Now its PVP's turn IC is a PVP expansion.". So you might want to talk to ZOS because they think it WAS a PVP expansion. I remember you guys talking about IC being so awesome. You wanted all these sheep to slaughter. You guys were literally drooling over being able to loot people who cant fight back.
So ya it absolutely was a pvp expansion. It just shows that you guys have no idea what you want.
Actually it was Rick Lambert who said this:I've seen this mentioned a few times in various threads now, so i'll clarify some here. It was pure fail and waste of development resource. We don't need boring grind zone in PvP. We need the game fixed rather than adding more bugs and ghost towns.

Current PvE is boring as hell because it's always the same crap over and over. I don't see how someone enjoys that.
Let pvp players role as random boss in the PvE dungeon and we'll for sure enjoy the match against PvE players

They also clearly advertised and sold Cyrodil as a PvP zone that can handle " hundreds of players on screen at once." A phrase they've even taken off their site at this point.

but tell me how would impenetrable give me any bonus at all as I said sorcerer shields are not affected by criticals and the shields are up 100% I would rather have more max magicka/more spell damage over having a bonus that would only affect me when I'm down to my health which is pretty much never? & isn't helmet classed as a big piece?

Magicka sorcerer is the only class/spec in the game that doesn't need to wear impen since shields cannot be crit yet today. Enjoy stacking more magicka and get all 3 advantages in the meantime (damage, defense, sustain).

No that is absolutely not what we wanted. Actually, that's literally PVE to a T.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »So ya it absolutely was a pvp expansion. It just shows that you guys have no idea what you want.

No Idea what we want? All because some ZOSE employee said it was for the PVPer's?
Do you believe everything they say? Do you blindly follow without looking at the content yourself?
It's absolutely a PVE zone with PVP enabled. There's not ONE SINGLE PVP OBJECTIVE IN THE ENTIRE AREA.
Please, do go on about how it's absolutely a pvp expansion and somehow ZOS words equate to us not knowing what we want.
@jamesharv2005ub17_ESO
People talk about the lack of PvP objectives in IC, although I disagree: the main motivation for PvP is PvP alone ... Kill or be killed

lol. some people dont know difference between pvp and ava. this is Essentially AvA game with PVE on the side. and yeah Imperial city dlc is PVE content with PVP as an sidekick to atract pvp:ers to farm the pve heroes who cant defend themself against players since they too damn used to fight npc:s.
All welcome to the land of greenery where sheeps are getting slauhtered by hungry wolfs.
I bet all those frustrated pvp folks who farm the pve folks are feeling huge ego booster same time when they can shout> MOMMY LOOK I ONE SHOT THESE N00BS!

You just don't get it do you? If IC was a PvP expansion it would have changed the rules of Cyrodiil and how the map is played.
1. Sewer access would have been locked unless you met certain conditions in Cyrodiil.
2. Districts would have been able to be captured by alliances. Adding to the campaign score and preventing other alliances from resurrecting or popping up there until they retook it.
3. Quite possibly could have opened up changes for acquiring Emperor.
4. Most importantly, would be used today for active PvP. Right now, it's a ghost town.
All Imperial City is right now is a place that I can go quest and have the possibility of an enemy player attacking me. Reminds me of PvP servers on World of Warcraft. Sure, it's "Player vers Player", but not the type of PvP that I want for an AvAvA game.
