Unless they made it realistic.

Spouse yelling at you for not taking out the trash fast enough, teenager acting like your Molag Bal, toddler tearing up anything it touches, bills piled on the kitchen table, neighbor confronting you about the anvil you haven't returned although you never borrowed an anvil, neighbor's mammoth tearing up the violas and pooping on your lawn, .... and so on.

Sadly, no :'(. Admittedly I spent quite some time searching to see if I could find him on my Redguard in DC, but to no avail. He didn't even appear in Heart's Grief at the end. Kind of made me hope he might turn up in some future content, I'd like that since I preferred him over Darien and he seems to be getting a second chance.

I would say no to marrying npcs we can already marry other players in game.
In an mmo setting its best for them not to add this feature we already got a marry other players feature so that is enough.

They need to let us get divorced. I bought so many of the rings to play with other players who have now quit on me.

I tried to bring people to this game and no one ever stays and loves me. I would love to be able to divorce them and reuse the rings of Mara again.

But if you got married to an NPC, wouldn't the hybrid between a player and an NPC be torn between two worlds?

One half would want to walk the same path forever ranking leaves and occasionally muttering curses at passers-by

The other half would want to stand by a Wayshrine near the Undaunted enclave and endlessly spam LFG LFG with occasional bursts of accidentally and suicidally riding a horse at full speed off a cliff or a city wall!

Nope, no marrying established characters. NPC spouses will be like pets, and you can change their name the same way. A few basic models in the Crown Store, then various skins and outfits for extra money.

Marry a NPC to get access to a house....
Your house would be where your wife/husband lives so you have a reason to
visit "older" zones...
Invest into a bigger house to make room for children...
invest into storage rooms (no connection to bank)
invest into a small store (small passive income as long you drop wares like
the abundance of fruits and flour... OR a small fence for thieves, but only white items)
... so many possibilities...

This was actually a fun aspect of Skyrim; it really added to the role-playing aspect.

I suspect you're right @tinythinker . I'd take the time to outline my thoughts about the actual in-game functionality that spouses could offer a player if I retained any motivation to flesh out ideas to post on the forum... but... meh.
