Full screen fps drop

I've always run this game at full screen without any problems, but for the past week whenever I open up full screen I get stuttering and just really horrible fps. Putting it in windowed solves this, but it's not really my preferred choice. Any way to fix this or does anyone at least know the cause?

Bow FPS-drop display issue has been fixed in 2.3.6.

I can't see it being a problem on the computer's end seeing as it just started this week.

So, a late 2013 21.5" iMac with a non-retina, FullHD display (1920x1080). Well, it should have enough oomph to not stutter.

This week, patch 2.3.6 went live, so before it you were able to play in Fullscreen (not Fullscreen (Windowed)) without issues, correct?

There are two things you could try one after the other, to see whether it changes anything:

rename or move your Documents/Elder Scrolls Online folder. It will be rebuilt by the client, which will then start on a clean slate (no addons, default graphics settings after a hardware detection).
run a repair from the Launcher. The local files will be scanned (may take a while), and If there is a problem with game files, it will be fixed by re-downloading game data.

Please remember that VSync should always be turned off in Video Settings. You should tune down Shadow Quality and View Distance as well, the settings chosen by default may be a tad too high.
