    Blocking, impen, elemental defender.

    Also harness magicka helps, meaning this ability wont crit.

    The blade cloak from Dual wield reduces its damage by 20% aswell.

    Any shield means it won't crit, including something like igneous.

    Cool. So stamina build's are just as the mercy of magicka detonation. So.... should i re-roll magicka now or ?

    I guess i'm going to have to create a bombard build. Keep those proxi det user's frozen in place. Not really sure what to do xD.

    Proxy is too effective against single player and small groups. There should be some player cap where proxy do little damage but if more people around damage should rise more rapidly. Other solution could be if there more active proxy detonations in area less effective it is. Right now zergbuster ability(lol) is one of the reasons why people zerg.

    Well i've seen quite a few people take out a group of like 10? on their own. In a group of 3-4 you could do serious dmg to a zerg, haven't seen VD yet either.

    The single target damage should never hit for more than 2k, but I am okay with the damage against more than 1 opponent.

    I think I like where it's at right now, the damage against a single target isn't all that much more than some single target abilities... and you have to wait 8 seconds for it to fire. What makes it really great is that players like to bunch up... heh.

    Well, although I think proxy det is ok, the main differences is that proxy let's you setup for burst.

    The numbers people throw around are kind of crazy. If you have that much of a problem, put impenetrable on all armor pieces and stack some CP resistant. Now that players can make a crit 2x or greater than a non-crit, you potentially reduce damage by almost 50%.

    ST is problem, PD is a problem too. In a larger PoV, almost all the AOE in this game are too strong, and the global DPS is too high. Their is clearely a DPS/mitigation problem since 1.6

    i would say because you can queue up burst with another aoe and Proxi. You need to be low for steel tornado to do the extra damage also.

    Which of the two would you rather happen to you?

    nightblade jumps on you: soul tether, proxi det, sap essence

    nightblade jumps on you: soul tether, steel tornado.

    i would prob prefer the stamina class over the magicka class jumping on me 100% of the time.

    being able to queue up burst imo is why proxi is so strong. you can go 100 to 0 befor you can react/counter somtimes.

    against a stam build, its so easy to cc break and pop a heal.

    steel tornado does only a ton of dmg vs targets nearly dead aka below 25% life above that its normal aoe dmg its advantage was its huge circle wich is gone by now aswell. and as long as proxy is a delayed ability not a casted dmg - above 2,5k vs a single target is not warranted.

    Or you could run 100 elemental defender, 48 in resist. 7 Inpen in light armor, prox det by four players.... Yawn. Steel tornado.... Wrecking blow .... Dead. You have to build to defend just as much as to deliver damage. You choose to qq rather than adapt and overcome. Semper Fidelis.

    I was thinking of somthing else.

    Steel Tornado has multiple phases of increased damage. Example with 3k damage.

    100% hp : 3000 / 3450 (Ruffian)
    50% hp : 6000 / 6900 (Ruffian)
    25% hp (Slaughter Passive) : 7200 / 8100 (w Ruffian)

    So yeah the damage can ramp up depending the circumstances.

    How much did the damage get increased?

    I saw the patch notes state the damage got increased per level because of the reduced range but no actual numbers.

    Thanks for pointing out steel tornado ramps up at 50%. The tooltip's for executes and steel tornado need to be more specific.

    It's like the critical values. How does someone know how much % the values are without the people who tested it out. xD
