Play Skyrim.
Group content is fun. I have good guilds which i run with. But i use a PUG lots of times too. Due to the timezone im living in.
Have met bad players, good players, funny people, strange women and new friends. And all the 'bad' groups/player i met i try to forget.
Sometimes when its only one annoying Player i get on TS and talk to my friends about them. That keeps me calm and I can still complete the dungeon for the sake of the rest of the group.
I classify elitism as the ppl who run in the better guilds and have no business being Emp but get it as there ppl feed them ap send them wall repair kits take or defend keeps then run away so one person gets the moon die ticks. Get on thier other faction alts and let them kill them. And will get on other toons to reduce the ap they are accumulating to avoid getting more than the person they want to get Emp. Also they will share account info so other ppl play the toon running it non stop. Last night I saw who emp was then thought ok. So I got on every lowbie I have, now have emp slayer achievement on 8 toons. Even my level 11. Sad Sad Sad.

After we finished I get a message from one of the DPS saying my tanking was bad and I need to hold the boss better which I had aggro on the entire time. After telling him that he said "well if you run with my groups then they would call you out on your tanking and you need to change it". I should also mention that he was the only person who had a problem with me. So that's how I began to hate elitists and you should never make anyone feel bad about playing a game they enjoy. If you're wearing different monster helm and shoulder set with "fighters guild victor" as your title you arent exactly putting yourself in the shop window.
Maybe they are fighting them for the first time. Tell them the mechanics.

While he may have said it wrong, his intentions were (maybe) in the right place. Calling someone out on their mistakes is usually the best way to get people to improve, because if they don't know what they're doing wrong how can they improve?
You may have been holding aggro, but was the boss moving? If he was then your group-mate might mean that you could have been pulling him out of the AoE DoTs that the DPS are laying down, causing the fight to go longer. Some people love getting the most DPS they can so they can get pretty salty if the boss is moving all over the arena...the rest of the group may not have been like that though so that's why they didn't have a problem or they simply didn't notice.
All in all a lot of people have very good intentions and simply say things the wrong way...people just shouldn't get too pissed about it. The best thing is to talk to them and see what they mean. If they're simple being an arsehole just to be one then you can go off on them but some people genuinely want to help even if they're unable to communicate it well.

I tanked him how I always tank him. He stays in one spot. He rotated a little bit during the fight because I had to get out of the fire for a minute but other than that he never left the area I was tanking him in. And my other group members said I did a fine job and they never have any issues with me. So I am going to go ahead and say that it was an error on the other persons end ( but thats okay because we still finished it ) because that was the only time I have ever dealt with anyone like him other than the guy who was being DPS instead of heals (he was our healer) and yelled at me for dying but thats different story.

If you did your job and he stayed still then I honestly can't see what he would have to complain about lol. Maybe your armor wasn't shiny enough or you didn't do enough DPS to carry him. People just *** to *** I guess eh Fluffy?

It's just a crap player who can't adjust to something he isn't used to. Even if there was something you did wrong but you 1 shot the boss how was it wrong? I don't care if you run circles around the boss while holding aggro so long as the boss doesn't turn and smack me.

I've seen Bogden sometimes glitch out and turn and even attack others while still under taunt.
Worst dungeon group I've been with was in EH. I was tanking. Our healer was someone just using a resto staff. I ended up using Vigor and Refeshing Path to heal myself most of the time. One DPS was using sword and shield (he kept pulling taunt off me on most fights). Both the DPS were so bad, Bogden didn't get below 85% health before the entire room was on fire. The healers out healed the DPS and then when they tried to kill the healers it took way too long. We then tried it on normal and couldn't get bogden below 70% before everyone was killed. Finally I gave up, a friend brought her group and we beat Bogden in 1 minute 20 seconds.

I've recently noticed an uptick in elitism since more and more ppl (cough sorcs) are completing maelstrom I was wondering if anyone else has noticed it. From players announcing that they are a "storm caller"looking for a group at the Undaunted Enclave or sending out lists of "great and terrible players" has anyone else noticed this recently or have I been blind to this crap for to long.

IKR? The skills and builds required to succeed in the hardest solo content are not the same as the skills and builds required to succeed in the hardest group content. There's some overlap for sure, and in theory a player who's good enough to do one should usually be good enough to adapt to the other, but they're definitely not the same thing.Slayer9292_ESO wrote: »Anyone else see the irony in listing your achievement for completing solo content to get a group to do group content?
