In the generations since the fall of the Akaviri Potentates, a new martial tradition has arisen in Tamriel, one which bears all the hallmarks of a coherent magical discipline, though it is said to be descended from the powers of the legendary Dragons and those mortals who fought them. I refer, of course, to the so-called "Dragon Knights."
Whether or not their abilities originated from Dragons—and you must give me leave to doubt it, for no Dragons have been seen in Tamriel for thousands of years, if they ever existed at all—the powers which a skilled Dragon Knight can deploy are undeniable. There are several right here in the Imperial City, members of the Tower Guard, and they have demonstrated some of their effects at my request.
One of these Dragon Knights, a sergeant in the Guard, showed me how he could wreathe himself in flame without being burned (though I could feel the heat from several paces away). He then cast a loop of flaming chain around a target dummy and drew it to him, where it was quickly immolated. Finally, one of his subordinates burned another target dummy by literally breathing fire upon it!
I was impressed. It was almost enough to make one believe in Dragons.
Because they're too big to fit in the bank.

There are mentions of "The Dragon Wars" ingame. The very war we saw ending in Skyrim.Whether or not their abilities originated from Dragons—and you must give me leave to doubt it, for no Dragons have been seen in Tamriel for thousands of years, if they ever existed at all

Also if dragons never existed in Tamriel, how do you explain the burial grounds in Eastmarch (and even one exactly where 1,000 years in the future, Alduin raises up that dragon) that's outside of Kynesgrove?

The Dragonborn is infact a Dragon, basically one that is forced into a Human or Elven body but they are still a Dragon as their soul is a fragment of AKA-TUSK and I said the Dragons WERE WORSHIPPED BY MORTALS(meaning once upon a time) as Gods, Alduin himself is infact an actual God, he is the Nordic version of Akatosh who is the Imperial version of Auriel who is the elven version of Alduin.Doncellius wrote: »@TX12001rwb17_ESO Dragons.... are people? Please, don't let your pro-Skyrim bias get in the way of the actual lore. You spread a large amout of false info on a different lore thread already when you can literally look up everything on readily available Wikis. Don't do it here too
Dragons are considered lesser Aedra (similar to Dremora/Golden Saints being lesser Daedra) They are powerful and intelligent, not Gods though. Rumors spread by some in-game NPCs tell you what they think, not what is necessarily accurate. Don't believe every rumor you hear in TES unless it comes from M'aiq....
A dragon will bow down to those who are stronger than themselves, not just other dragons. Remember that Odahviing was not too willing at first to do whatever the Dragonborn wanted.
Dragonborns are NOT Dragons! Did you even play Skyrim? They have the blood and soul of a Dragon, but are still human. Tiber Septim, Saint Alessia, and Miraak were all Dragonborn. Mortals, not Dragons.
What scares me is you were given an insightful for your post! Hopefully it was for your section on Dragonknights, which was correct
You do realize the Wiki which you keep mentioning is fan-made right? for all you know I could of written it, the person who posted before you could of written it, If that's your source then I have bad news for you, maybe you should try the USEP instead at least that has some shred of accuracy, or maybe you could try TESlore Reddit or the Imperial Library but the Wiki? Your joking right> your trying to dispute what I have mentioned like you know ES lore but your stating that is your Source? Lets have a little test shall we...Do you know who the Underking or the Ash-king is? Do you know who Emperor Zero is? what about Vehk or Seht., who is Al-Esh? can you answer any of them without looking it up? , I can memorize a large portion of ES lore, I don't even have to look it up and Unlike some people Skyrim and ESO aint't my only ES games, I have also played Morrowind, Obliivon and Daggerfall, I do also have Arena but have never played it.Doncellius wrote: »@TX12001rwb17_ESO One of the longest run-on sentences I've ever scene about the Vampires... But you did teach me one thing: You'll never understand the lore of this series with the Skyrim-fanboy blindfold on.
Look. At. The. Wiki. You don't even need to play the games! You've made it painfully clear you only played Skyrim/ESO.
I understand your giant sentence that jumps between a ton of random lore-related topics, but it's irrelevant (Wyverns, Vampire variations, next you'll say apples and oranges are the same thing). I'll say in this thread what you were told by myself and others in the lorethread.
Dragonborn are mortals, blessed with the blood and soul of a dragon.
Dragons oppressed humans before The Dragon War. Dragons were looked at as Gods, with Alduin as their leader.
Alduin was the strongest Dragon (he brought together the Dragons into a civilization rather than a scattered, feral race) and is not a God. SorryYou can be lead to believe he is a God by playing too much Skyrim and being blinded by an incorrect sources of Nordic lore, slightly altered as the stories moved from one person to the next overtime. He is a SELF-Proclaimed God and he is as powerful as he is cocky and arrogant.
Edit: At the very least tell me your source so I can show you what's wrong with your information. Maybe that's how it'll get through to you.
