World Map no longer shows undiscoverable locations

I don't think this was ever mentioned in a patch, but since I got the Orsinium DLC... I notice that undiscoverable locations are no longer showing up on the world map; only if the player gets close to them, do they show up. I'm talking about towns, delves, dolmens... all of them that the player hasn't discovered yet, did show up on the map.
Why is this? I disabled all of my mods, and it's still happening. I liked it better the other way.

✭✭Undiscovered locations never showed on the map by default. There are just a few addons who added them to the map for lazy people.0 -
Benie✭✭✭Hmm. I'm almost certain that even without mods (and before even the Imperial City DLC ever came out), all undiscovered locations showed on the map.
