RNG hates that character and it's an Imperial....

I gave up for a while. Will try again when I get another character that can decon. Hopefully that one will have better luck.

do the enchanter writs. you get them each other day prehaps? don't be lazy and expect full gear to fall in your lap plz

I hardly think I was lazy with the amount of stuff I farmed and deconed to get basically nothing back. After days/weeks of this I got tired of grinding it and needed a break.

deconing doesn't EVER give you kuta's read plz.

    @Artjuh90
I never said it did. YOU learn to read plz.

*edit* And actually if you decon a yellow glyph you can get a kuta.

I have sold probably 30 Kuta in the last week since the DLC dropped, and I have another 100 in my bank. I have far more than I could ever use and I have at least one set of gold gear on 4 toons. All are from writs. Hirelings are only worth it these days if you have the skill line maxed out, but definitely worth it nonetheless. They give you other stuff worth selling, and its totally passive. They definitely dont send gold mats like they used to, but I still get a handful of them every week.

I hate to even post this, but if everyone did enchanting writs, kuta would be worthless. I do it on 4 toons and get get 8-10 kuta a week, sometimes more if I get lucky on some surveys. It has become my main source of income. The only gold mat I ever have to buy is wax, but that is only because I have so many alts. If you are consistent with doing writs on a few toons every day, mats simply arent an issue.

Well, after grinding up one guy to do top level enchanting writs I said never again. The cost to buy glyphs and decon was outrageous!

But, a friend is working a second guy up, and this post has convinced me to do the same. I have been running low on kutas and 12-14k on Xbox is insane.

I don't get it. I play very passively anymore. I log in, maybe do my dailies, maybe grind a bit, maybe farm a bit, and that's it. 10 hours or so a week? Yet I make so much gold, this is no problem at all. Join a good trading guild. Sell extra materials you gather over a week or so. Ancestor Silk, Rubedo Leather, and Rubedite Bars alone are worth a ton. Herbs go from anything between 10 and 300 each. You'll have that money in no time. I have 1.1 million gold doing nothing right now, and that's just from passively acquiring it.

Do Writs, put points in hirelings, pick up all resource nodes (tempers can drop from any level), also be very active in guild stores. It honestly takes less time to farm gold than anything else. It doesn't take that long really, most people are just horribly inefficient at it.

I don't even bother making my gear gold at this point. New gear gets released every 3 months or so so why put in the effort.

Man it's going to take a while to get 13 alloys/ 37 wax...

    Plus the kuta..

    Damn it zos.

Well, it took me about 3 days of hardcore farming (around 6-8h a day) to get 3500 of v16 light/heavy mats and ~ 100 wax/alloys. I could sell half of the alloys and buy more wax. So I could make 2 whole new sets on gold. I think it's pretty okay. o:)

Hirelings is a nice passive way to get mats. Writs is almost guarantee a gold mat. I do writs every day on 14 toons. Get at the least 8 gold tempers a day. Plus chance for survey to get enriched nodes that nets tempers from refining raw mats. I have a surplus of at the least over 300 of each gold temper. Temp alloys being the most I have (500+). I'm a hoarder lol. No need to sell them anyway since I have all the gold I need (9 million). I geared 7 of my v16 toons with gold everything.

First thing I do with a new character is put points in hirelings. Best.Investment.Ever.

    1. Get Level 50 on Blacksmith and Clothing
    2. In Wrothgar, farm Rubedo, Silk and Rubedite (Level 10 mats.) You'll get about 75 level 10 mats to about 200 level 9 mats)
    3. Sell your stacks of level 10 mats and keep the gold mats that you've refined. You'll skyrocket your regular intake on gold mats.
Stacks of level 10 gear mats always sell well and will definitely help fund you along the way for getting your gear gold.

Also get in to a good guild with good crafters.
They will help you if you show you're dedicated.

Yes. In fact, I know you are, because I remember when you joined and were crying about how overpowered players who'd played the game longer than you were in PvP.

Getting upgrades to gold isn't that bad, if you're actually crafting. If you're not crafting, and never refining materials? Then, it could be a problem.

This is pretty great you found a good spot to farm in. Farmspots work really well. I have a spot I grind Kutas at and once got 4-5 kutas from the spot over the course of 3 hours. I don't have the stomach to grind that hard for Aspect runes all the time but man its awesome when you can get kutas from them!

Pretty much what I did was farm Matt until I had enough to craft my V16 armor and weapons. Improved them as high as I could. Then farmed/ refine and sold them until I could upgrade to gold. I noticed for me I get way rosin in refining than anything else. So once I had my bow done. I started selling rosin and had the gold to buy the remaining in no time. Its a process for sure. But if you don't mind spending gold you get there a little quicker.

These hirelings and/or writs are a great investment for casual gamers.

But if you can spend more than 2 hours on ESO per day, you would be much better off just farming. 9 skill points is a lot for a chance to get gold tempers once a day.

I could really use the Kuta's xD Damn rng, I've have 3 enchanting maps in the last 3 days, was hoping for the double, double kutas drop :)

Only need 4 more kuta's though, got my alloy's for my swords, now i need 8 more alloy's. 40 more wax xD

Should have done Mages Guild as your moving through the zone's on the way to 50. I've got to level 8 just as I hit V1 on my Templar. I know AD is the only faction that can get 10 before vet levels though. I didn't collect all the misc books either.

Ye RNG is a kicker. Might get nothing from enchanting for days. Then in one turn in 1 get rewarded with one Kuta, and a suurvey and said survey grants me 2 more Kuta's. Has happened more than once. I was on a serious streak of getting legendary tempers from all my writs for like 4 days, then the luck dried up :/

    Sewer grinding?
