Like I said, Nightblades rely on this skill as a crutch
If Nightblades rely on Cloak as a crutch, then every WB spammer relies on WB as a crutch too.
Most WB spammer don't have a concealed weapon in their class stam morphs

Two random entries from previous patch notes:
Shadow Cloak:
You can no longer be hit by single target attacks while this ability is active. You also can no longer avoid infamy from lockpicking by using this ability.
Shadow Cloak: This ability and its morphs will now correctly cancel an attacker's channel for the following abilities:
Drain Essence and its morphs
Flurry and its morphs
Lightning Staff heavy attacks
Restoration Staff heavy attacks
The summoned Storm Atronach's Zap
This was ZOS fixing bugs with cloak. Looking at these it should be fairly obvious what the intended functionality of this skill is.
Sure, and that sounds fair. But it doesn't say anything about cancelling single target abilities, which is what the OP is implying. What this is mainly to stop is people shooting staves around the place to uncover Nightblades.
You might not have noticed that it INTERRUPTS channeled attacks. It's intended to stop attacks against your character that are already in progress like flurry. Also... this is not a skill description that enumerates everything about the skill. These are patch notes with information about aspects of the skill that were fixed.
Who says it interupts skills? THis is your interpretation, or what you want it to do. But that is not the intent of the skill. Stealth is just that...stealth, i.e. invisibility. It is not a protect you from all damage, get out of jail free card.
Someone else posted patch notes that show exactly which channel skills are interrupted. WB is not on that list. Long duration channels are. I fail to see the understanding of this discussion. I feel we are all going to have to put on tin foil hats and nerd out to discuss the difference between invisibility and invincibility. Jesus man
Did you read what I wrote? These are patch notes, not fully detailed skill descriptions (as these dont actually exist in ESO). Those are fixes to shadow cloak based on which you can infer its intended functionality. So no its not a list of every single skill cloak is meant to interrupt - its the list of skills they managed to fix in that particular patch. And 'cancels enemy channel' = 'interrupts enemy channel' if you ask me.
Interpret things as you will; cry yourself to sleep. We have different interpretations of how the skill is suppose to work and what 'stealth' means. Tho it would seem my interpretation is more inline with how the skill actually works and what the devs intended as functionality for the skill.
I dont interpret anything here - I read. And dont be melodramatic. Do you cry yourself to sleep over a video game? Neither do I. Dude. This is not a life defining thing for me nor should it be for anyone. With that said I dont see how the skill is more in line with how you think when it works exactly as I described with the exeption of WB (which this thread is about).

Except WB is not the only skill that can still hit you if you were already targeted.
Why would I use a magicka NB over magicka sorc when I can stack huge shields, have higher mobility than nb and higher burst while having insane sustain?
