Oh and on the spinning blades? I do kite from outer to middle, but its weird...is there two blades on each section? Because it seems as one passes, i go into the section to avoid the outer blade, and get slammed by a blade in the same section. Am I missing something?

With practice you will manage to 'dance around' the blades taking little damage, if my memory serves me right there is only 1x blade for each path but they are moving at slightly different speeds so judging it can be a pain, dodge rolling the odd time here isn't a problem due to the lack of CC here. As for the spiders in stage six; kite them to the glowing obelisk and avoid any traffic on the way, standing still in any of the arenas bar the first is a death sentance. Tri stat food and tri pots can help a lot if you find you need to dodge more as a magika build.

the slowest spinning one is nearest the center on veteran mode. (opposite of normal) you can follow it around just spamming attacks and never get hit by anything really. or if u want a faster way, just use the switches whenever ur health or resources get low. The switch turns off the blades and the center into a AOE heal zone.

They become passive and then burrow away once you have taken them to the light.

Waittttt.....so you mean to tell me...that all those 8 legged freaks have to do is touch the light and they leave you alone? I thought they swarm around the light until after a certain time...ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

yes he's serious. They touch it. then they are dazed and don't attack you anymore, spend like 5 more seconds on the screen then disappear underground.

So you can run to a light, roll dodge to the other side. and so long as u maintain a straight line for a few seconds after that they'll all hit the light without u ever having to stand still

There might be a very short timer on it, but if a spider walks through a light on it's way to you it burrows. For the lights along the outside of the room, funneling all of the spiders towards them is rather easy if you're in position for it. The center one requires a little more circling around.

@DRXHarbinger On stage six though it requires you to park up. You have to park up near a lit up obelisk to keep the spiders away right? Or am i not understanding the mechanic fully?
And I will admit, it is kind of fun. I'll run it more once i have a few more VR1s prepared for the VR Removal. I use Maelstrom to get CP. You get the unusually quick in there.

Yeah just run over it the spiders chase you and then go away once they are there. Also you get 2 pillars lit up. Try and go for the one that isn't flickering as it'll stay lit for the duration. It's a stupid cheap shot I'll give it that. Far worse to come like poison spawning under your shield and only safe spot lol.

My husband spent over 200 soulgems and god knows how many potions and couldnt get past stage 5 in vet, I raged and quit after stage 3. I get difficult content, but in my opinion vet maelstrom is just silliness. Not worth it, Im not going to change my bars and respec and change armor for each round.

15k in repairs alone is not uncommon from what I've read on here since the release of Orsinium, many have just left it and the ones who completed it are the only 150 or so people on the EU server (I can't speak for the NA server) to complete the weekly challenges over and over again. Its hell of a way to alienate a large portion of the player base that's for sure, even some of the best players I know refuse to go back after completing it due to the foul mechanics.

LOL I have that video bookmarked. I've studied that video harder than I studied for any of my college classes. Damn maybe one day I'll be able to beat it!!!!
I can't believe I've been standing there. I was like, "how are my shields supposed to hold against the adds and an atronach? Bruh fo real?"
Any tips on the Frozen blood arena? I beat it last night, but I don't even really know how I did lol.

Don't give up guys. The new save feature makes it sooo much better. I never did it before the update and after the save feature was added, I completed it in two days. It's really not THAT hard. The first time is just a pain in the ass, but when you've completed it once, you'll do soooo much better next time. Find your class strenghts and learn the mechanics. Most damage is avoidable if you've practiced enough. Practice, practice, practice guys.

Hang in there and you will do it, I've similar CP and identical gear to you so it is possible.. Yes this place demands more research than any 4 man group content in the game as you can probably tell  Frozen blood can be a pain if you don't focus primarily on the ranged mobs as they spawn, with each troll that spawns in the middle get to it asap regardless of platform or use the crushing shock destruction staff ability to interrupt his platform smash at range when confident. On certain rounds within this stage I stand on the platform with the least mob spawns, deal with them and let the rest travel to me to be burnt down.

As for the boss here everything apart from the platform smashing trolls are spawned based on the bosses health, firstly expect trolls every 20 seconds or so; as with before they can't be allowed to destroy a platform here. At around 90% the first mobs will spawn, 75% the first platform will be smashed by the boss along with 1x ghost nerelid, 60% the second group of mobs are spawned, 50%-40% the second platform is smashed along with another ghost nerelid, at 30% the final mobs will spawn and shortly after you can expect the boss to destroy the final platform so its bit of a DPS race as soon as you get on to the last remaining platform. As any mobs spawn deal with them first and don't forget that the boss has a fear attack which will send you running through the shallow icy water so try to stand to her side at all times. When you finish vMA and then take on other content you will notice how slow everything moves in the real world, it kind of ruins the base game once you have adjusted to the standard of vMA.

For all the DK's out there: put your flappy wings on your main bar! There are ranged mobs in every arena. It's just sooo good. It reduces incoming damage and increases your damage output. Nothing better than reflecting a 100k+ damage focused aim and oneshotting an archer.

This really isn't too much of a thread hijack, but I am having trouble with the save feature and I am hoping someone can help me with it.

I was on stage 5 the other night and went to bed. Last night, I went back to attempt to finish the arena and noticed there was a quest. Not paying attention due to adult beverages, I clicked through it quickly.

I then went into the arena without reading anything and noticed I was at stage 1. After getting my head straight, I figured out I was in normal mode. I then deleted the normal quest and exited the arena.

Shortly after that I left the area by going to Reapers March, tried to reenter the arena, but it always sends me back to normal mode. I was told to change the dungeon setting to vet, and it is, but that didn't help. I was also told to wait it out until another instance could respawn, but that was a long shot.

I have since waited 20 hours but it is still normal mode. I am 100% confident that I do not have normal mode in my quests but I do have vet arena listed and listed with stage 5. I could delete vet and start over but >.> to that.

I am not sure what else to try since I've tried switching the dungeon modes and going in and out of arena, but it always goes to normal. I have thought about just beating normal again since it is very easy compared to vet, but then I am not sure that will matter either.

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!

Look under your Wrothgar quests and abondon the Normal Maelstrom Arena quest if you haven't already, that should do the trick. If you've already abandoned the normal mode quest then complete the arena on normal to rid the quest. I hope that sorts it for you =]

Seriously...just died 20 times on the Rink of Frozen Blood. Why do I keep trying this stupid thing? I can't beat it. I'm never going to ever be able to beat it. I'm never going to get the good gear, which means I'll never be good at PvP, why do I suck so much at this? I can't do it! It's like, here's a boss. Now here's 5 casters that do 10k damage each cast. Oh and here's a *** troll to block your spell. And here's fear...and hears CC, and hears more casters. And here's an archer, and here's more casters. And here's a mechanic that has no reason to be there. And here's more adds that do 10k a basic attack. And here's a light attack that does 15k. Seriously someone come over my house and walk me through this.

It's not your gear. It's not your CPs (that's enough).

Arena just takes practice and you will die hundreds of times until you become comfortable with the mechanics. It has made just about all of us cry.

If Spiral Shadows is the Spider Boss ... that's the second hardest fight in the arena to learn IMHO because it is so unforgiving. You can only miss 1 horvor/webspinner or you'll lose. And there will gr a ground AoE spaning under you while you stand in the safe zone. #1 priority are horvors/webspinners.
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

Yeah, it can be a bit tough, but I've found that once I die a ton to a level it does become easier the once I figure out the mechanics.

I have 290 CP since I came back to the game after more than a year, have all crafts maxed, nice crafted gear (gold julianos, torags and Molag shoulders) and I noticed that I have a hard time if I don't go into overload and mow them down.

Stage 5 is tough with the water/ice and then all the high damage from mobs, but I keep working through it. Stick with it and you'll eventually figure out the patterns of the mob spawns and who to kill first. That being said, I am working on stage 5 myself :D

For what it's worth you have a good healthy mindset toward this challenge, its frustrating but it's frustrating because you see the mistakes you're making. Something to be commended that you're still after it when so many have stopped trying.

Thanks. I got to Sprial Shadows #2 but just couldn't get the mechanics down pact enough. I might watch some vids. I did WGT with some guys that had Flawless Conqueror and told me they run vMA once a day for the Maelstrom Weapons. I'm like really? I'm still struggling. Do those weapons really make a big difference in PvP? Ugh....I swear it gets to the point where if I was struggling so hard on vMA, and a hot girl was naked in front of me, I'd push her away till I could beat the stupid thing

This round is probably one of the ones that people bang their heads against a wall. That round is just practice. The first time you beat it and get more exposed to it, you'll do way better.

You're a sorc so you have the ability to almost ignore some mechanics/make mechanics not as bad as they could be. Just practice, be aware of the spiders and the 5 columns and you can do it
