Invasion/Shielded assault and other Gap Closers don't work on slight inclines

Zeni,

You have made some change to gap closers in order to prevent people from charging around rocks/up to higher ground to hit people.

In doing so, you have made gap closes not work even on very slight inclines.

E.g., on the rounds south west of Bleakers. Just now, I was about 10 metres away from an enemy and, perhaps, 2m higher up than him on the terrain. This tiny height difference prevented me from gap-closing.

Surely this cannot be intended? Your change was to prevent people from charging 30metres around cliffs, not to prevent people from gap-closing on 'uneven' terrain ?

    In our Team Speak channel we noticed the change as well. And it stops working even on flat terrain.

    Our explanation:

    If templars´ charge was bugged, and ambush was unreliable when too many people were around, then Two-Handed fighters´ critical charge users did have an unfair advantage.

    So we agreed to call the change "balanced" instead of "broken" ;) It also fits perfectly into the general theme of "magicka users are BACK again" ;)

    My Caltrops do not work at a slight incline either after this update. Whats worse, is that now when it says "Invalid Location" in the top corner it now also charges me the cost of the Caltrops even though It never let me throw them.

    This change has decimated stamina players not even mentioning the other changes...

    Can you confirm where I can reproduce this bug, or give me a screenshot/vid of it? Then I can add it to the bug list thread.

    welcome to templar land, where we still have the same gap closer issues the others did years ago. hopfully with the re-emergence of problems on other closers they can finally figure out how to make charge work consistently.

    ...make all work like ambush. boom no pathing issue.

    It failed to work for me so far:

    -Slope by East aleswell to the farm
    -Road sw of bleakers
    -slope just outside south bleakers (while 8m from enemy and slightly downhill)
    -At nikels when I was down the step at the front and the enemy was in front of the doors!!!

    In all cases I had clear LOS, I could physically run in a straight line to the enemy (no jumping required) and I was in range.

    In my mind, if I can run there without jumping, I'm in range and I have Los, I should be able to gap close.

    Invasion randomly doesn't work for me. On varied terrain. My char starts the animation, then it abruptly stops and I don't move anywhere.
