So is Azura pretty much dead?

I play PC NA and since the removal of CP on that campaign it doesn't seem like many people are playing. Trust me I'm not complaining because now my home campaign Trueflame is fun as heck. Just wondering what's going on with Azura.

On PC EU its better then ever imo. Yes, good chunk of ppl left, but there are more then enough action to go around. Plus, lag also left the building with all those stacking blobs that cant play without their CPs

. All in all i enjoy Azure more then ever.

EU - Pc it is still active. Depending on the time of day some factions are more populated than the others though. Ill always be in the non CP campaigns. >^..^<

I fully intend to make PC NA Azura my home... Mostly because I believe that no CP works for more interesting gameplay than the whole Epeen CP competition.

At heart I am a PVE gamer. But every now and then I like to do other stuff the game has to offer. Back in 1.5 days, even with my "gimped build" I was able to contribute. Today on a CP campaign? Not so much.

Threads like this make me kind of wish I had opted to play on EU instead of NA.

Azura is supposed to be a gateway campain to pvp for new players. New players with near zero CPs will probably be there to avoid fighting 500CP guys.

Although once you get CPs, there's no reason to play there, since the whole game was re-balanced around CPs.

Currently on EU it's something like:

AD=High/full
EP=High/med
DC=med/low

Trueflame is pretty much full on all 3 sides all the time.

lol no. It was maybe intended to be balanced around CP's but it's far from balanced.
If anything, Azura (EU) is by far the most balanced campaign available in ESO at the moment. A non-cp campaign is the best thing that has happened to ESO PvP since .. well, release.

NA prime time it is starting to see more action. Likely only because Haderus and Trueflame are both poplocked, but it's easy to imagine that several groups/guilds will dig in and make themselves at home there.

I spent 2 hours grinding in Azura and only saw two allies.... and NO enemy players. That's the good news.

The bad news is that grinding mobs with zero CP is EXTREMELY painful. Your damage output gets cut almost in half, for one thing. Your regen gets cut by 20%, you lose 12% cost reduction... etc, etc. Groups of mobs that used to be easy to solo are now quite dangerous. This is fine if you want a challenge, but it's horrible if you want to grind in a hurry.

Honestly, Azura's is awful now on NA.
I went there at Prime time, with both Trueflame, and Haderus pop-locked, and it was pretty much dead. The few players I did meet up with were even easier to kill than the CP servers. This No-CP map was begged for, and nobody is playing it... The skill gap is way more obvious there without CP's.
I'm pretty sure people are going to start asking for No roll dodging campaigns. Or no blocking campaigns... oooh oooh... no damage shield campaigns.. CP's are a part of the game. Having a Non- CP camp is an idea that will please such a small minority of players, because most people want to use the points they earn and actually see progress in their character.

I guess North american folks too obsessed with their cp to not care about non cp campaign? at pc eu azura star is great joy, finally something reasonable. no aoe lagg trains for example. no unkillable monster players due to inbalance thanks to cp. Defending keeps now ridiculously easy thanks to snare issue and stacking of their effects. Not sure how to make it possible

It pleases players who care about balanced PvP.

Sure, it's one thing to progress your character - but when it becomes RIDICULOUSLY unbalanced it's just stupid. Sure, one-hitting players to death is cool and all. But it's stupid.

Sorry to hear about US Azura, but EU Azura is doing amazingly well. And it's running better than ever, I get higher fps and lower ms than I've ever gotten there.

Some of us are on the fence about this, it doesn't help when those of you trying to push the non CP campaign always have to bash those that like to play with CPs.

They need to rebalance the guard, mages and other NPCs they beefed up a couple of patches ago.
Not to mention the beefed up siege weapons.

Big problem lies in the player base aswell, loads of folks do not understand what means healthy pvp environment. Ruining map by keeping it one color doesnt help boost peoples motivation to come to play. At azura pc eu, i led full time night cap thanks to other folks from other campaigns for coming to help us wipe aldmeri and reset keeps back for everyone having their homekeeps except aldmeri who deserved the hard slap to face, atleast we allowed them to keep their scrolls

Azura PC EU much less lag than trueflame for sure. Much less skill spamming due to having to manage your resources better, and rarely any 'trains' or aoe blobs or whatever you call them. It's much more enjoyable to pvp there when there's enough people in the campaign. Close to what I predicted some time ago.

Based on the population bars from last night, it looks like most people prefer to play high-end content instead of using a restricted ruleset. AZ wasn't completely empty, though, so there are at least a few folks who like the alternate rules! Not my bag, but to each their own.

Not sure if this is a response to me but I have absolutely no issue with the non CP campaign. I'm just trying to figure out if it is dead or if people have a reason for waiting.
