My Khajiit character is found of her "sneaky clothes," which consists of the full five items of Night Mother's Embrace at level 28, and three items (2 daggers + necklace) of the Nightshade set. With her maxed out Khajiit racial stealth passive and her full set of medium armor, she has a detection radius of about 1 meter to an average NPC looking directly at her. Certain NPCs that seem to have higher than average awareness sometimes detect her before she's within a meter distance, while others have actually bumped into her without noticing. She routinely zips between two goblins, bandits, or skeletons who are guarding the entrance to delves.

Khajiit have a substantial advantage over races that don't have this. (I think Bosmer might have it too, but I'm not sure.) It's a passive skill for a 3-meter reduction in detection radius.

My Breton character, who I considered Mighty Sneaky prior to developing my Khajiit, has nowhere near the stealth that the Khajiit does, even though she has the same gear. The Breton can, with care, swipe grand soul gems from Mathon Nosebreaker in Belkarth or from the guild store near the Bleakrock wayshrine. The Khajiit can do it easy.

So, for my Khajiit character, I'd have to say the "sneaky clothes" in general are most important. Not any specific piece of it.

My gold, if it counted as 1 item. -.- whatever I need can be bought for gold, and whatever I want must be grinded.

My favorite trophy is the trinket you get out of the Daggerfall public dungeon. It makes your character look like she's carrying an elder scroll. The other favorite is the book that, when you use it, makes Hermaeus Mora appear for a few seconds.

The staff Verandis gave me at the end of the Rivnspire quests. Well some of my characters would have liked to give it to Gathwen, but… I like keeping mementos from favorite quests and characters, and so far he’s my favorite NPC. Because of the lack of bag-space for crafters I have not been keeping all those mementos that I would have liked to, but this is the one thing I actually have saved.

Just out of curiosity - does the Night Mother's embrace set give more than 2m detection range reduction at level 28?- I am just referring to this effect, not the reduction in sneaking costs, which this set provides as well.
