On my blue character, I like to log out and in in Glenumbra and I use the crafting stations there too. And very frequently, I get messages over Xbox live: some I respond to, and some I don't.

But just yesterday, I received two messages at almost the same time. One basically said "will you make me imperial armour pieces", and the other said "excuse me, could you please make a pair of vet 6 shoulders in medium if I sent you the materials?'.

Needless to say, I responded to the 'please' and I made him a full set of vet 6 medium gear and I made it all blue for him/her (mostly divines and in merc). And it made me think..

In a game where we need so much to get out 'main characters' maxed out.. The power of please can go a long way when you ask for help.

It's also nice to see a "TY" pop up in zone chat when you help another player who is struggling with something.

If You say "pls" becouse it is shorter than "please", I will say "no" becouse it is shorter than "yes"

Just in general stuff like politeness, appreciation and social skills gets you far.

I once tried to pick up pledges, when I saw a guy write for crafting through zonechat. He sounded like a very nice guy, and offered gold but really needed new gear fast...so I made some for him and he seemed so happy, I didn't take his money but instead invited him to my guild ....some weeks later, I saw him in starter area offering his craftmanship to new players Q.Q it just broke my heart. I upranked him intantly there, so he could access tempers and crafting materials -.-

I think that's wrong, it is not a favor, it is my duty to help my alliance comrades.

I think that's wrong, it is not a favor, it is my duty to help my alliance comrades.

Duty or not, I say thank you as well to servants and service personal, it is simply polite and makes them feel better or even happy. And it makes me feel better as well to be a polite person.
