Yeah some thing I would love to just be able to check the map or look at quest objectives I mean or functions like what you can do with the fall out 4 companion0 -

Guild chat functions to keep in touch even when your away or even being able to look at your inventory even if you can't manipulate anything in game just knowing the stats on the new piece of gear u just got with out having to stop in game and open menu also research queues and a lot of other possibilities0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Doubt you will see any of that functionality. It would be too much effort for limited returns for them to create and maintain an app. The only way I could see this being something possible would be to have an API tied to your account (the same was as EVE Online) and let third party developers work with it.
Even then they're going to need a team of people to maintain the API.
As for guild chat just get Slack and have everyone sign up with a trash email they don't care if others know about.@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver

There are some apps about ESO. But I presume you mean an app to connect to the game to chat or do stuff.

With things like access to- Guild Chat
- Bank
- Mails
- Horse feed
- Craft tables
- Guild Store
- Writs
No doubt such an app will have much success without giving pay to win advantages.1
