My PVE experience turned into a nightmare

Dear @ZOS,

I really do not like complaining but there are a few things that really make gameplay a lot less enjoyable.

I play (at this moment) as a Sorcerer in PvE and here a list of annoyances:

Bosses .... often are just respawning with full health when my Clannfear all the sudden decides to show up after a few minutes, I cannot unsummon/resummon him anymore as a second click on the button seems to heal him now. Not to great when you have 50% of the Boss health down, a third of magicka on the bar left and used up all ultimates and you see the Boss run to original spot in unvunrability mode .

Crystal Shards ..... the ability tells me it can take up to 3 seconds to summon them, but as they used to hit hard and there is a chance to summon them instantly I tended to use them a lot ... well, till it took 6 seconds that is, and the targeting system is also a bit off now as when I aim at an enemy in front of me the Crystal Shard might like to kill the rat at my right or left first. So now I use my lightning staff most, takes a bit longer but at least it seems to work as intended.

Line of Sight ...Enemies do not seem to have any problem to shoot, zap, stab and slash me when I am out of their line of sight (they do this through solid walls), but when there is a small rock on the ground I loose my line of sight to them.

Chests ... dissapear in thin air. I walk around and I spot a chest, YAY! So I run towards this chest and poof, gone! WTH? So I walk a few meters back and there is the chest again, walk towards it and again poof, gone!

Bagspace .... OMG, I always have my pockets full. I really like to craft my own gear and potions, so I stuff my bank full with materials that make me possible to create those. But my character has the pockets full with gear I like to research to unlock the traits, so I try to keep 50 slots open for what I loot in a Delve, and after doing one Delve or quest I have to run back to the bank and vendors to deposit and sell all I do not need on my journeys, and often I find myself just destroying items to make room for something I need more at that moment.

Running .... I run around a lot, as it does not help me to see resources while on a horse, which I also have to mount/unmount each time I see something that gets my interest. So now (after the last patch and hotfixes) I run a lot slower all the sudden, making distances between wayshrines last ages to cross. I try to use sprint as often as I can but as a magicka based Sorcerer I do not have much stamina to last long.

Health generation ..... this seems an mysterious formula as I could equip a ring that boosts my magicka pool as well deduct the costs of using magicka abilities and then find my regeneration of health dropped down to 12 ... and then charge my lighting staff to find my health generation is 600+ ... I do not get which combinations of (damaged) equipment or empty/fully charged staves influence my health generation.

Public and group delves .... Great, I finally made it to the remote located Delve to find there is 5 (or more) people in front of me (or caught up with me because I killed the enemies so they can run ahead of me and return "the favor") so all that is left is looting a few crates and barels, take the Crystal Shard and wait for the Boss to respawn so I can be done with it. And waiting for the Boss to respawn is not that bad in a public dungen but in a group dungeon OMG! That can take up to 20 minutes, but ... for what? There is no waiting achievement is there? Is that really an achievement to kill 5 or 6 Bosses and waiting an hour in total to do so? Is it also really not a good idea to make these areas instanced so people can choose to do this solo or with their buddies?

32bit client versus the 64bit client ..... Well, the 64bit client does run finally, it did not run when I tried it on the PTS but ... the random sounds that are generated drive me insane. I just walk around and all the sudden I hear a waterfal in a desert, hear blacksmiths hammering anvils, screaming monkeys, pigs, and even burping Orcs (at least that is how it sounds to me), besides random hissing sounds that make me go deaf. Then there is a problem with meshes and textures, meshes are shrunk or blown up to giant proportions, textures are missing making objects invisible or are replaced with some lava-pink texture, making environment look very unnatural. Quest marks seems to be non existant as well in this version of the 64bit client sooooo, yeah, I logically only use the 32bit client for now.

Well, end or rant here. There is some more but as that is usually "fixed" by a log off-log back in it hard to say it is structural rather than a glitchy network connection at the time.

thanks for reading,

I forgot to add one point ..

Bounties .... are something that makes me go hide or quest till they drop to 0. On more than one occasion I entered a town without bounty and then got stopped by a Guard to pay the fee of 0 gold and loose all my loot or flee. So of course I run like hell but get another bounty on my head doing that. Also when I entered the outlaws refuge to fence all my goodies it gains me a bounty the moment I leave the place.

    +1 for bagspace
    +1 for line of sight
+9000 for running speed (this needs to be reverted)

I totally agree with all points, except the one of health regen that I didn't get exactly what you meant.

But from all the points the most annoying are the line of sight and the walking speed.

It's ridiculous that one millimeter lower than the mob and you can't hit them anymore. The lamia boss in Hew's Bane is awful to aim because of this.

Some other thing I'd like to add is that the animation prioritization slowed fights terribly. Not sure if only for sorcerers because I didn't log in my others yet. It's noticeable a micro-pause between consecutive Force Pulses. Precious milliseconds are being lost is can't happen.

I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).

The Health Generation issue was one that I encountered yesterday. I noticed all the sudden that after a fight my health would no longer generate back to full and I wonderd why. Then I opened my Character Sheet and noticed that my health regeneration went down from 600+ to 12.

The only thing I had done was replaced a ring that had added to the magicka pool as well reduced the cost in magicka based abilities for a ring that does exact same but on a higher veteran level. I never experienced this before on any of my 4 veteran level characters and wondered if there is some sort of "bad combination" in (damaged) armor and weapons with their traits and enchantments. It would be obvious if you toss items that have a health generation enchantment (jewelry) but even without those equiped I never seen any veteran level drop its health generation to 12.

I also have 3-set Vampire's Kiss gear that should at least add 114 health recovery, but maybe a bad combination with a 5-set Seducer set?

I was targeted by Zoolander the reborn while in invis bats behind the broken dolem with his one just stun blue fire move.

The archers for old snagara and old snagaras spit herself can arch more then 100 degrees auto correct to hit me while I'm moving at sprint with major expidition.

The lancers in the same world boss fight can throw javelins through solid rock.

Oh and I forgot Old Zoolander the Reborn can apperantky spit Titan fire through solid rock.

This are just a few example of some Bull *** targeting glitches in NPC's favor which do not work in your favor.

I could write a essay on how terrible the Zoolander the Reborn boss fight and I wouldn't even have to mention the suicide bombers which I actually don't mind burg there are easily eight other issues with that boss fight that are just effin terrible.

I just repaired all my damaged gear to a full 100%, the gear is veteran level 12 and has 3 pieces of Vampire's Kiss which should be good for 114 health generation, my character just reached veteran level 13. Added a pendant that adds 120 additional health generation and still my character is stuck at 12 health generation. GRRRR !

am I the only Sorcerer or character that experience such a bug? Or can it be that I do something wrong?

I sent in a ticket as I have the idea this is not just my noobishness acting up ....

I agree with the OP to a certain extent but you're way off when it comes to the public dungeons - the ones you call group dungeons. You SHOULDN'T be waiting 20 minutes for a boss. If you are, you don't know how these bosses work. There are only 1 or 2 bosses up at a given time, so to make one spawn you need to kill another one. By camping one boss you're probably actually spoiling someone else's effort in going around killing them for you to get the one you're camping while the other person is far away causing bosses to spawn.

I am sorry but I have to disagree strongy with what you state here. I have done silver and gold multiple times (I have several Veteran level characters) and on several occasions in different group delves all the bosses were up because nobody was in there at the given time.

The Bosses that earn you a skill point are usually ones that can be summoned by killing the mobs in that area but there is no such thing as to kill one boss in order to summon another. If there is any spoiling at all than you might consider to blame the one that invents these mechanics, as at this point you only proof my point of view in where i ask if instanced is not a better idea to go with.

Inventory management has always been a nightmare. They make an amazing game with great combat, story and voice acting.... but the enjoyment of that is severely dulled by needing to use alts as mules and spend a stupid amount of time mindlessly shuffling things back and forth.

    Of course.

This addon makes it less tedious but doesn't take away all the pain.

    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info753-BankManagerRevived.html

At the end of the month they're also adding some crown store purchased summonable bankers and merchants. And at some point we may get "crafting bags" to store materials.

Also not loving the sorc pet changes. I ended up with the murderer achievement thanks to not being able to unsummon them.

I think you might be horribly confused re delves and dungeons. Dungeon bosses don't respawn, period. Not unless you reset the whole dungeon. Delve bosses do and it doesn't take terribly long. As a sorc with pets you should have no trouble solo'ing them either.

Chests disappearing is all courtesy of their "seamless" megaserver technology. If you see a chest and it vanishes mysteriously it's because you were moved to another instance of that map.

That only applies in Cyrodiil delves mate, not regular pub dungeons in PvE zones.

In my OP I wrote about group delves as well in my response to daemonios, and those Bosses really can take up to 20 minutes (if not even longer) to respawn.

Thanks for that addon, I will look into that as it seems to save me a lot of time to shift through my "mules".

And for dissapearing chests, it is just very odd that a few steps forward make the chest disspear and a few steps back the chest reappear. I always assumed that changing regions would be indicated with a loading screen, but if indeed this can be "seamless" and in realtime without a second delay than that might be it.

Actually this "marvelous" idea has been brought to Public Dungeons as well. When I created my Templar recently and I reached Toothmaul Gully I spent much more time to fully clear it than I spent the other times I went in there.

Then I realized that this bullsh*t could've been implemented like in Cyrodiil's delves and I satretd chasing all bosses randomly and in a few minutes I completed it.

    This is because of phasing.

Say you have a quest to clear a graveyard of skeletons. After you complete it, the skeletons are gone. To achieve this in a multiplayer game (another player who didnt do the quest yet needs to see those skeletons still there) there are two different phases in the same spot, one with skellies, one without.

The chest disappeared because as you got near, you got placed into a different phase(the one with skeletons still there, so to speak) while the chest was in the phase "without skeletons".

We can confirm that this bug is related to doing "The Bargain's End" quest in Stillrise Village, Shadowfen. Specifically, when your character is turned into a skeleton. We have a fix for this bug that we're currently testing; it will be released during Monday's incremental patch (3/14.) Please refrain from doing this quest until it's fixed.

In the meantime, please contact our Support team - they can manually remove the effect from your character.

That is not the only cause of this issue. It happens from time to time in a lot of places. Most recently, myself and 2 others were having the problem while doing world bosses in Wrothgar, not at the same time, but over the course of an evening. You can see it in the group frame too so it is not just client side either.

That might explain why they have not manually removed the effect from my character. In combat this is not to bad as I can restore a lot of health with magicka abilities, but fleeying guards has become a huge challenge now as they can hit hard and without health generation I am limited to potions.
