I was really excited to log in, and booted up the new 64 bit client. Then I was wondering why there were glowing pink goats next to me in Shornhelm. Then I teleported to Wrothgar and...
Huh, well that's different....
Okay, giant pink mountains? What?
AHH! This one knows she shouldn't have tried the skooma!

This has been an issue on console since the launch of Orsinium and there have been multiple posts about it. It's not just the pink textures, but the kicks to homescreen.
I find it extremely frustrating that within a day you all have responded to the PC users yet have not said one damn word in the multiple posts reporting this problem on console. What are you going to do about it on all platforms? This is a known bug, frustrating AF and your lack of communication is enough to rampage about.
Just another update. The random noises aren't just linked to the DLC. They are very consistent though. I hear the static and splashing a lot near water. Voices seem to be area dependent. To me, this is more jarring than the pink.
Beautiful new foliage on the tress outside of Allessia.
I have to admit I'm finding this far more amusing than I probably should. I know it's a pretty serious bug and needs to be fixed, but I think if I saw some of these myself I'd be unable to play for laughing. I'm actually tempted to get the 64 bit client just for that reason.
But can anyone tell me why so many things turn pink when they're bugged? When I made a thread about it (I was told to repost here instead) it was suggested that it's because it's the base texture, or that it's what your graphics card uses when it can't find the texture, but I would have thought that would make it show up when things were still loading too.
Some info for the devs:
Last night I selected a character at the character selection screen, had lots of pink textures behind him while in the selection screen. Once he loaded, there were lots of pink textures in the world around him. I was just logging him on to get his hireling emails, so I logged out back to the selection screen. The scene behind him was no longer pink. I loaded another character, this character had no pink anywhere around them. I went back to load the prior character to see if the pink had gone away. There were still pink textures, but now they were in different places. Textures that had not loaded before were now fine and other textures were missing.
So it is not that textures are missing, it would appear that the pointers to them are being corrupted.
This is likely what is happening with the audio as well.
