I really like abah's landing!

IN the midst of all the negative post here, i just gotta say this is the best town in eso imo. I loved exploring the all side roads, rooftops. This feels like a town. More things like this ZoS, things that really encourage players to explore the world that you create. Just add skyshard to that mix, hard to reach places and that side of the game would be under control imo.

And also, thanks for 2 delves, they're both fun, interesting, way better than those main game copy pasted ones. This and Orsinium have been great dlc's storywise and scenerywise.

Agreed. The zone is beautiful and I love the story line so far. I can't wait to see what they do with Dark Brotherhood. This game just keeps getting better and better.

I agree, Abah's Landing is awesome! I love walking around and taking in the scenery while I pilfer a random object here and there.

My only downfall is the amount of money I lose from my bounties lol but at least I can steal things to earn even more money back

Speaking strictly about the design of the city, I can't decide if I like it better than Orsinium or not. One way or the other, those 2 cities are by far the best-designed city layouts in ESO as far as I'm concerned. They're way more interesting to run around in and explore than any other city in the game.

And Abah's Landing really is perfectly designed for thieving and playing cat and mouse games with guards... The team that designed the city (I've barely explored the rest of Hew's Bane so I can't comment too much about the zone as a whole) did a fantastic job.

Agree, love the town (still getting lost, tho) and the landscape. All that sandstone to climb around on is nice, lots of nooks and crannies.

I want to play the story stuff in Orsinium and Abah's Landing, but from what someone told me, they both narratively take place only after the main quest.

With my character currently only at level 37, it'll apparently be a long time before I can reasonably play those dlcs' campaigns (or even the Imperial City dlc, though I've always been more of a PvEer than a PvPer anyway). :'(

That's part of what I like about it... Figuring out which ways I have to go to get from where I am to where I want to be - and figuring out which other ways I could possibly take in order to get around guards.

I haven't gotten very far in the Thieves Guild story yet, so i can't be sure, but so far it doesn't seem like anything in the story would be out of place regardless of where you are in the base game's main quest.

For the story line for Wrothgar/Orsinium, though, it very definitely takes place after the story line of the base game's main quest, and a few things will seem odd if you do it first.

I've only done the first couple of quests in AL, because it's been so utterly packed with people that I decided to wait until every man and his jackal wasn't in there, but what I have seen and done, is marvelous.
The zone itself is gorgeous, I was wandering out of the town, and just looking around and the scenery is stunning. The city is just awesome, a warren of thieves highway.

I also agree that TG in particular makes ESO feel like an Elder Scrolls game.

I hope at some point they can give some of the main cities in the game a touch up. Start with cold harbor since it's neutral. then do 3 at a time. Starting areas of all 3 factions and keep progressing up till they hit the last zone of the base faction campaign.

Example:

Cold Harbor
Bleakrock Isle /Stros M'Kai / Khenarthi's Roost
Bal Foyen / Betnikh / Auridon
Stonefalls / Glenumbra / Grahtwood
Deshaan / Stormhaven / Greenshade
Shadowfen / Rivenspire / Malabal Tor
Eastmarch / Alik'r Desert / Reaper's March
The Rift / Bangkorai

No the stories in dlcs are independent from the main story. Zos is trying to make it so all dlc can be played at any time in the game. You can start it before you do any of the main story and not feel lost. Which is why you always start the quests for dlc in the starting cities. They want you to be able to go anywhere in tamriel at any time. They are even going to implement this idea to all the normal zones in a future dlc. Everything is going to scale.

I agree. I love the way you can walk high above the city over a single plank of wood and find another area. The sound in certain areas is quite impressive too.

Chronologically the Wrothgar story is definitely after the main story. There are various things that indicate this:

King Kurog is killed in the Wrothgar story, but if you're DC and doing the main story he's still in charge of the orcs in the Covenant at that time.
There is a note from Darien Gautier in a library in Orsinium in which he is speaking directly to you from whatever realm he ended up in after the bright light when he disappeared in the final battle to stop the plane meld.
When you complete the Wrothgar story the Prophet comes to visit you, making mention of what happened in the very last main story quest when you regained your soul.
There are probably a few other things that I don't recall right now.

Indeed, the new zone may be a tad on the small side, but its very nicely done.
And I also love how they bring the old regions into it by the daily "nab this over there" quests.
Not to mention, way more stealthplay in the game - yay!

...all together, a very enjoyable DLC for me.

Agree with what UrQuan said. TG is a totally separate story (so far and I'm close to finishing main quest). The only issue it will give you is xp that will cause you to outlevel the lower regular zones.

Agreed. I just wish the zone was a bit bigger outside of Abahs Landing but the zone is fantastic as is.

I also love how the design of Abahs Landing changes up the game play a bit. Feels sort of like playing Metal gear when doing the heists. Great addition to this game.

Yes, absolutely. It's clear that ZOS had to rush through the main areas, it's sad since that's what the players first see, and the real Elder Scrolls world is locked behind a paywall. I really hope they overhaul the main game areas too, even if it's just little by little, I'm sure players would understand.

Seeing the borderless transition from area to area, would be cool also, not just one road.
