I would prefer the vet system to stay because if they just remove it than it will be a grinders paradise eso is all about the questing and the lore of each area if you remove the vet system a lot of people preliminary new players wont be tempted to see the new areas and just grind to 50 and then grind CP.

Also if you remove the vet system you wont have that good felling when you finally reach that VR16 rank and create that amazing end level gear for your chr instead you will just create level 50 gear which will level based on your CP Rank when you pass 50.

People who have VR16 chr will know how it feels to get to that max rank yes it is tedious but at the end of the day you feel good.

What is everyone else opinion on removing the vet system in the future?

The vet system is already a grinders paradise. I level through vet by questing mostly and hardly ever run into other characters in the silver and gold zones until I come across one of the favored grind spots, then I see plenty of people running around spamming AoEs like there is no tomorrow.

When I get yet another character to v16 the feeling I get is mostly summed up as "Ugh, finally."

If you really love questing through the same zones over and over then, good news, none of that is going away. There will still be all the skyshards / skill points / achievements / etc for you to hunt down. However, those of us that just want to try a new build at endgame will no longer be required to grind out 13 million XP after hitting level 50.

i dont like how slow movement feels. Normal movement speed feels like it took a nerf. Snares are now as bad as roots haha

    +1

Also performance drop with this patch has been terrible, constant 20-30 fps lower in open world areas and 10fps lower in towns.

I agree with you Lone_wolf. I prefer the Vet system to stay. I am VR9, currently doing the stupid collectibles ad nauseam and once I have gotten what I can from AD, then will finish Reapers march and continue onto EP, and level to VR16. Being nearly there was already giving me a good feeling. Plus I like having the Shield symbol near my vet rank level. Kinda shows you being a bit more superior  I was looking forward to creating high level vet gear for my char.

I only find grinding useful for my other toons if I do not want to do all the quests again but I do like doing quests and completing the game 100%. I never really grind at all. Only time is not to gain xp, but to get those stupid rare collectibles. I am VR9, still in AD mainly because I have just been doing quests.

You know when I feel good? When I grind a character to v16 in a week. You know what didn't feel good? Day in and day out of questing and clearing zones. (On multiple toons)

What makes you feel good at the end of the day doesn't always mean the same for everyone.

Sorry for ZOS' attempt to give people an option to play their boring/long drawn out quest lines (imo, if it wasnt obvious) or just get to endgame where is were some would like to expirience before getting bored with clearing out 3 factions worth of quests and 16 dam meaningless ranks

    My 2 cents

I get your point about clearing quests and zones on multiples toons, can be boring doing all over again, day in day out. I would grind my other toons but if there wasn't any quests, what is the point on playing this game? What would be a "non-boring/non long drawn out quest" ?

Though I do like the Vet rank, makes you more superior than lower ranks :) but wondered why they just didn't go pass lv 50 like other MMORPG games.

    What i hate:

1- The nerf to stamina builds
2- The buf to magicka builds
    3- The walk speed nerf
    4- The nerf to purge
    5- The nerf to barrier
6- No interesting new stamina sets
7- The nerf to shadow cloak
8- No upgrade to v16 for Master Weap
9- No Maelstrom/Arena NPC vendor for PvP players.
    10- No jewelcrafting, sockets.
    11- No uniques/legendaries BIS gear.
12- Lack of inspiration on itemization

    What i like:

    - a No CP campaign
    - Dots going through shields
    - The changes to the CP trees
    - Moster helm vendor for PvP players

That is one thing I feel, hardly running into other char's in silver and gold zones. When i was below level 45, I would often see ppl do shouts for groups for public dungeons or group dungeons or world bosses. Now hardly because as silver or gold in a new faction, you don't really see any lower levels. And probably once they reach vet level, often stay in pledge towns.
i say they should add another chat called "pledge shout" so ppl don't have to stay in pledge towns and can be anywhere in that faction or tamriel. But then again, since they are removing Vet, does that mean undaunted will stay but vet pledges be removed?

I am still working on first char to get to V16 level (well...will not be anymore) but if I did work my other toons to a V16 status, I would be like you "Ugh, finally"

I think because many silver and gold char's are hardly around, we should be able to see other chars from different faction since we are doing different factions, thus allowing more opportunities to do group/public dungeons and world bosses.
But then yet...........hmm...if they did, maybe would be too many people thus limiting your chances on doing kills yourself, or stealing stuff...hmmm...

Not sure if this was changed with TG update but crafting xp for deconstructions now scaled to the character you do it on...v16 items with 280% craft bonus giving 2k craft xp at level 3....so much for leveling up an alts crafting fast.

....I will give this a try. Do you mean the intricate items? I think I tried once or twice deconing BS gear but said "lack of knowledge of item" It was a V16 gear when I was only lv25 of BS. thus giving low xp. But when I was lv6 in enchanting, it went up to lv 11 and received massive xp from deconing high level CRAFTED glyphs. I have low level toons with no crafting skills yet. I will send them high level intricate gear to try to decon and see how the xp goes.

Don't want to make it too hard. Don't want every enemy to be strong like the boss, certainly when doing collectibles or killing zombies for worms
