To increase the viability of Bound Armaments and continue with the Bound weapons theme from previous ES games, adding a blue Morkuldin Sword to Bound Armaments as an active effect would be a nice boost to DPS.

Bound Armaments: Once toggled changes to "Lightning Slash" conjure a deadric weapon infused with the fury of the storm. Slash your enemy for X dmg additionally applies "charged" status resulting in all lightning damage being increased by 10% for 3-4 seconds. Damage simmilar to Surprise attack and scales with stam?

    That would look awesome.

Edit: ZOS doesn't want to give you guys an instant attack though. /sad

I really do want an active instant/channeled damage ability in the sorc trees, but please leave Bound Armaments alone. The physical resistance increase is all but negligible, however the max stam and heavy attack damage is not; it is a very useful skill in many builds and changing it to this extent would force many stam sorcs to rebuild again.

Oh, well in that case, have at it! Lol

I have nothing against making Bound Armaments better, I just hate to see ZOS cannibalize one really useful skill to give us something else we want. :)

No worries, my ideas were spread out over about 3 posts. My final idea would look like this:

Bound Armaments: Once toggled +11% HA dmg, +8% stamina, +25% chance to proc "Lightning Edge/Slash"

Lightning Edge/Slash: Strike target for x physical/lightning dmg and applies "charged" status (+10% Lightning dmg 3 secs). Comparable dmg to Frags/Wblow but isn't "always" available. This keeps with the theme of Sorc's being "Burst" specialists. Gives you an instant attack without giving it 100%. This compromise might be something ZOS would be willing to review. IDK. Could probly use a few tweaks by smarter Stam Sorcs than myself. It was just an idea I had while looking through your guys thread.

The heavy attack bonus is totally useless and they should scrap it entirely if they need more wiggle room to give it a proper offensive function. I think the proc you suggested would be a nice replacement, but on its own a random 10% additional lightning damage isn't going to do much beyond maybe from time to time proc disintegration (which is an execute function). I think in addition to that change, a change to disintegration to make it more like an execute passive instead of a proc would make it quite nice.

However, the biggest issue I still see is that bound arm will be the only toggle without an active counterpart with the TG update. That active component could be a potential source of an alternative offensive stamina based attack.

Personally I like the idea of that active component functioning similar to shards, as suggested earlier, where it is a strong 1s cast attack that has a 35% chance to be instant when using other stamina abilities along with some other benefit.

An alternative active benefit could tie into our need for a defensive ability which protects us from attacks on multiple vectors (something which we desperately need).

If have to diesagree with you on the HA part. I for myself enjoy building my stamsorc around HAs from bow and 2h and Id love to see them getting buffed. I also think that HAs make a good base to design stamsorcs around, since no other class besides DKs have a similar buff. It could be strong and at the same time make them special and fullfill a unique class development.

This also leeds me to your second statement. Imo Bound Armaments is a defensive skill and should therefor offer a defenseive ability. Progs are nice, but they kinda belong to the shards morph that didnt arrive yet...

Bound armament should be more offensive based, IMO.
A boost to HA (or every weapon based attack) is good to me, but the boost is too low actually. And furthermore, it shouldn't be a toogle but rather an active ability with passive part, like magelight and inferno now.

Taking it to be more like mage light it would be something like +8% stamina, always on and an active minor protection I guess which would be deeply uninspiring. And more than anything else stamina sorcerers need the devs to get inspired.

Look, this is the new Bound Armaments!
    (What it should look like)

Protect yourself with the power of oblivion, creating a suit of daedric Mail that grants minor resolve and minor ward, increasing your armor and spellresistance by 990.

The armor also increases your damage with heavy and light attacks by 11% and increases your max Stamina by 8%

(The armor/spellres/heavy attach/light attack/max Stam buffs are active just with slotting them, without activation)

On activation(costs magicka), build up momentum for 20 seconds.
While active, hit with 4 light or heavy attacks to turn this into Shocking Blow dealing X (X = ~75% of a Chrystal frag) physical damage to one target (7m range) and shock him for Y
(Y = Very Small Damage Ticks for chance to trigger Desintegration) Damage over 4 Seconds, every 0,5 Seconds.

Obvious inspiration from grim focus from Nightblades Skill Tree :)

There you go, better execute chance, better burst possibilities, much more useful Ability, way more fun mechanics to use

:/ doesn't really change the fundamental problems which are a lack of on demand damage ability and multi-vector damage protection.

Stam-sorcs still as much effective as before patch? I really interested in this kind build, but TG patch one or other way buffed magicka characters (except templars lol).
