Not sure why ZoS won't make everything BOE.

Hardcore/good players would make a ton of gold from this.

Yeh, i don't care that people would get op weapons for not even doing it. Gold is everything!

Accessibility to the populace does not make am item, skill or specific piece of gear OP. It also does not justify gear being OP. If an item is OP it needs to be fixed or removed from the game. Maelstrom weapons don't suddenly become overpowered just because anybody can use them. They either are or aren't overpowered.

Eh? All im saying is i couldn't give a *** if i was able to sell the maelstrom weapons i dont need/use. Infact i would be over the moon if they were sellable, that way i could make some good gold farming the place. And maybe they aren't OP, but like @Xjcon said, majority of them are BiS which is why they are desirable and people would pay good money to get them without doing the content.

    They are Best in Slot.

In the case of sharpened destruction staffs, they are absolutely not best in slot. Competitive with other much easier to attain Nirnhoned staffs with useful enchants at best.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. The changes to crit modifiers, penetration etc, precise Maelstrom staffs are best.

I wonder what a BoE Sharpened inferno staff would sell for. I bet 7 figures easy.

Unfortunately, I think they are BiS. I wish they weren't, but the DPS increase is noticeable. On my sorc, I run the precise destro in arena and love it. It might be better than Sharpened for my build. It increases my heals and DPS on low resistance mobs, and in arena, I swap to my Nirn Swords to overload bosses so its a win win.

I really want the combo of Sharpened and Precise for my DK. For most bosses, you really need the extra penetration from sharpened to make it viable. With a DK, this staff makes it worth putting elemental blockade on your build. The duration is so short that I am not sure it makes sense to slot it on the back bar. The buff does transfer across bars, so it might actually work, but I havent tested it enough. Ideally I think you want sharpend on front bar, precise on back bar, with blockade on the front bar. I am going to try a nirn staff on front with precise and blockade on back bar to see how viable it is. I am worried it will be too much bar swapping.

Honestly, content like vMA shouldn't even be in the game. The classes should not be balanced around being able to solo everything. The classes should all have their individual strengths and weaknesses forcing them to work together in order to complete difficult endgame content. This solo thing is a slap in the face to people who actually like to play games with friends. It's even worse because realistically, I'm willing to bet most who complained about ESO not having enough solo content most likely can't beat vMA anyway so who was this content for?

Strongly disagree. I mostly play solo just because of the sheer amount of time it takes to form a group and run content. But also some days I log on and I don't want to run a veteran dungeon. What am I supposed to do then? Vet Maelstrom is a perfect fill.

For me, Vet Maelstrom has been one of the best additions to the game so far.

I wish I had your mentality about it, I can't stand playing solo, but know I must if I want the best drops.

It might sell for much but I personally wouldnt spend that much for such a small dmg increase.

A non-set Nirnhoned staff + weapon enchant comes pretty close dmg wise and its relative cheap to make.

It also depends on the build, if the staff is your 3th set piece for example the difference is even smaller.
