Just Returned To The Game, Quick Question

I just returned to the game today, well kinda yesterday, but took time figuring out new builds etc...I quit playing prob 2 months before Imp City, I'm V9 DK, on PS4, I resubbed to eso plus, and have Imp city and Orsinium DLC. My question is, should I continue where I left off question doing the silver and gold questline thing, or should I head to Imp City, or Orsinium, or just out grinding mobs(never was a fan of grinding). Can you level effectively now in PvP? I'm still trying to figure all this out lol.

Completing Cadwell silver will grant you access to the final regions of the map. Each of the Cadwell silver and gold quests grant skill points, which may or may not be important to you. If you specifically target those quests, it's really not so bad. I might give you a chance to practice with your role a little bit and shift your skills and armor to match changes in the game since you left.

Experience is better in IC, but wrothgar grinding saves you the frustration of being ganked.

If you grind mobs you can get to v16 from level 1 in 4-5 days with quests you prolly get to v16 about 1 month without 7/24 questing.

    My way ;

Eso plus+pledge of mara+psiijic ambrossa = %70xp boost go to wrothgar(i wont tell you where in here) at level 1 and start grinding with a friend you will get to v16 in few days

Buy 5x speed upgrade for your mount and voila you have the v16 char with full speed mount in few days

    pay= win :D

Yeah skill points I like those haha, I'm on the gold part now I believe, I'm Daggerfall, and just finished Shadowfen. So I'm prob better off finishing all that off first then. I've been getting all the skyshards in each zone also.

Has there been much change to XP in Cyrodil for pvp?

Yeah I may take that route, or try it anyways. I'm assuming there a lot of guides online for that? Are the 2 hour xp scrolls worth getting to help with the xp?

I would go into the IC Sewers! Do you still have some guild mates you can get in touch with? If so get a group of like 10-12 together and run those sewers so you get some TV stones! Make sure you go back to the bank and deposit your TV stones from time to time because if you get hit by another faction member they take a large chunk of Tel Var stones from you! Anyway, I hear many people prefer to level up in the sewers.

Orsinium is also nice, but if you have your crafting maxed it is even more worth it. You may want to note that...There are many new changes coming so go read up on them here in the forum. Many have been hitting up the PTS to experience the changes and new items coming, but you will want to farm as much as you can while leveling because V16 is expensive now.
PC NA DC 4eva! I try my very best. If it is not good enough for you too bad! Playing off and on since April 2014 CP2009.

Yeah I'm trying to catch up on everything from watching Deltia's vids on Youtube, but right now I don't have anyone ro roll with for the sewers. My DK is maxed on BS and Clothing, I just have no items trained for Nirn.

Oh, the most expensive clothing material is the v16 leather. Kuta's on average go for a low 6K (if you're lucky to find someones kind enough to sell them at the low price) and average 7K, and high 8K. Reporas are EXTREMELY rare if farming anywhere other than the Sewers. You can buy them pretty cheap with Telvar stones. From reading the changes for Cyrodiil I think going a bit more tanky is the way to go this round.

Oh ok, so yeah I'm prob better off getting the Telvar Stones lol.

1 last thing, my DK is a Vampire, Dunmer, I read the nerf too it, am I better off getting rid of it? Also I did some vet dungeosn earlier and there were level 40 and 50's in my group but the dungeon was Vet rank 16 lol, what's up with that?

There will be a 30% increase in damage from siege so I personally would not want to be a vampire. My main toon is a Stam NB, and with Dark Cloak not removing DoT's I faint at the thought of being a vampire. I cannot say for your build though. Whomever was the leader of the dungeon group it levels to them.

Oh ok good to know, guess I'll be getting rid of then lol.

In 1 of dungeons I did it was the undaunted pledge, the group leader was level 50 I believe, I'm V9, but on my screen everything was V16 lol, according to the group page I was the only one in the group who was even Veteran.

Oooh be very careful listening to Deltia and other streamers, they are usually very bad at explaining the best builds and gear for players that are still questing and levelling up. The popular streamers are often pvp players, with a nice chunk of champion points, and if needed a good network they can draw support from for their various builds and gear.

Best thing you could do, is to go through Cadwells Almanac, and get from Silver to Gold. Do the main storyline in each faction to get a bunch of skillpoints. If you are up for it, do all quests but if not then focus only on the Cadwells Almanac quests.
    - in the meantime be social, help out if someone needs a worldboss killed or a dolmen done in zone, get friends and ask around if they know of an active friendly guild.

When you are done questing in Cadwells silver and gold, go to the capital of your allience (Elden Root, Mournhold, Wayrest) and pick up the quest for Craglorn.. there you can group up with randoms or friends and guildies, do every quest possible.

Move on to Cyrodiil, find an empty campaign, do the tutorial to get 2 skillpoints ...then run around in all dungeons and get skyshards in them. There is literally a ton of skyshards to get from there.

Move on to Wrothgar or Imperial City DLC area to do a little grind and quest to v16 - there is a handful of skyshards to get from both places. Wrothgar is pvp free, but you can meet players from all alliences there. Imperial City is pvp, but it is the best grindspot of them all and a good place to earn money from.
    - join a veteran trading guild. Wether you do Wrothgar or Imperial City, both places provide stuff you can sell. You will need that money in the future, for when you level up.... to gear up.

Once you hit v16, go pay a low level you pick up from starter area, offer him 200g per dungeon run. Group up with him, change dungeon mode to Normal give the low lvl group lead, this way the dungeon will be downscaled to either his level or minimum level - blast through all normal group dungeons like this. (The low level doesn't have to enter the dungeons with you, he just have to stay in group. )
    Important information:
    • Direfrost Keep is not soloable, due to mechanics. Minimum 2 have to be inside the dungeon, and stand on pressure plates to open up a door.
    • Selenes Web last boss is troublesome, even for v16 dd's.
    • Blackheart Haven requires nuking of the boss, otherwise he will turn you into a skeleton... only able to do light and heavy attacks xD
    • Vaults of Madness harvester boss can be problematic, as he will CC you and you can't break free, while she hits you
Doing this should get you from Undaunted 1-6 at least.

By this time, if you can afford it - upgrade your gear to v16. Then continue on to do veteran dungeons with groups of players like yourself or lower veteran levels, so you learn mechanics of bosses in the various veteran dungeons.
-Unless you have good friends and supportive guildies to do Undaunted Pledges and group dungeons with then don't do pledges yet - people often rush through pledges, because they just want their silver and goldkeys, skip bosses etc. so you might not get your dungeon quests done. And if you don't know mechanics of a boss, your group might get pissed off at you. So go get your experience with like-minded players, who are also learning.

    Important Information:
    • Never try veteran Imperial City Prison, White Gold Tower or City of Ash before you are sure that your healing/ dps/ tanking is sufficient. These are the currently hardest veteran dungeons, and casual players usually struggle at completing these.
    • vWhite Gold Tower requires everyone to be able to do ranged dps. In case you have a support role such as tank or healer, then make sure you are able to do some damage. One of the bosses require that you shoot down portals that open up, if you don't enemies will spawn to the point where the group wipes.
    • vImperial City Prison endboss is bad for melee damage dealers, you have to move around a lot and the boss doesn't stay still.
    • vCity of Ash - please don't be a vampire here, you'll *** off your healer. This dungeon is a firehell :D

To answer your question about the LFG tool, everyone now gets Battle-leveled (like in Cyro kinda) to V16 when using the tool. You can also now get groups with cross faction players and soon will be able to in trials as well.

Oh ok they finally impllemented that awesome, I noticed as DPS last night it was like 2 min wait times on PS4 to get in a group, before I quit it was like 2 hours, so I always switched to healing on my DK to get in vet dungeon quicker lol.

Did they fix the issue where if your partied with a friend, and you try to que you never seem to find anyone for group. When my r/l friend was playing and we were leveling together on alts, we could never find a group if 2 of us were in a party trying to find a group, even as a tank/heal combo

    That bug is fixed.
Grouping tool scales non-v16's up to v15, and all dungeons to v16. Both normal and veteran ones :3

The non-v16's that get battlescaled to v15 - their buffs will heavily be affected by their armor and gear. If a level 10 player wears level 6 gear, he will gain less buffs than if he wore level 9 or 10 gear. The quality of the gear also helps on the buffs, so green, blue and purple quality gear will provide higher buffs than white gear and white enchantments.

If you use grouping tool for normal dungeons, you might end up with a level 13 player in your group, if you use it for veteran dungeons you get players between v1-v16 in group.

It is still hard to find party members through grouping tool, unless it is for the current days Undaunted gold and silver pledge. Usually the lower levels and new players who use grouping tool to get into dungeons that aren't pledge of the day, because they don't have friends or guildies they can ask, or they are too shy to ask around for a dungeon run. Sometimes you get into a team of 3 people who are farming a particular veteran dungeon endboss boss for headpiece, and they just need an extra in group for that.
Popular dungeon sets: White Gold Tower (Mulag Kena set), Darkshade Caverns (The Engine Guardian set), Spindleclutch (Bloodspawn set), Wayrest Sewers (Malubeth set) and Crypt of Hearts (Nerien'eth set).

Ok cool thanks for the info.

About the Undaunted Pledges, is it still just the 1 quest a day for a key or have they added some new pledges? I'm DC so I know the spot to get it there, just not sure if there havew been new ones added or not.

There is a normal pledge and a veteran pledge everyday, however if you don't subscribe or buy DLC, you won't be able to do White Gold Tower and Imperial City Prison pledges unfortunately :/

    silver pledge:
    Normal dungeon
can be scaled between level 10 - v16
If you follow the pledge, and kill all bosses listed in the optional objective before you kill the endboss, and you get silverkey. If you don't, then you will get a bronze key.

    gold pledge:
    Veteran dungeon
can be scaled between level v1 - v16
If you follow the pledge, there will be an optional objective you have to do at endboss that will give you a goldkey, if not you will be rewarded with a silver key.

    Goldkey:
highest chance of obtaining a shoulder piece from the various Undaunted monster sets.
loot is always purple in quality

    Silverkey:
small chance of obtaining a shoulder piece from the various Undaunted monster sets.
loot is always blue in quality.

    Bronzekey:
I don't know if it is possible to get a shoulder piece from this key ...if it is, then the chance is veeery low, not worth to mention.
loot is always green in quality.

I'm Vet 11, I've ben doing the Undaunted Pledge, Vet, and all I'm getting are silver keys. No deaths, did all the objectives so not sure why haha.

So I pick up the undaunted Pledge in the DC area, which is a vet pledge, where do I get a normal pledge?
