Would Maelstrom Arena benefit from a team mode?

    If it were a duo you were right in the initial post, it would need to be scaled or it would be too easy. However, I have a degree of issue with accessibility of gear and how duo'ing it could unlock the best gear in the game for those who might not have the same skill level when compared to solo content (particularly if scaling is poor or if one individual could carry the other). Much like the new trial, I am glad gear is accessible to all in normal due to the lower drop rates but am much happier that no one individual can be carried in veteran when hoping to get increased drop rates :smile: Btw, for those who might argue against this, I would prefer players being rewarded accordingly for skill otherwise what is skill even worth for. Tbh, in your idea Maelstrom 2man should drop everything besides rings and maelstrom weapons to make it a fair, maybe the introduction of a new set would be fair but even then, unless it's scaled correctly, and even if it is, there is a worrying element that one player could 'boost' another. Moreover, a new set that is only available in duo limits solo players as much as maelstrom now limits group players like myself into doing content specifically to get loot regardless on what scale the content is played :smile:

    Having 2+ players in vMA would drastically undermine both its purpose and its difficulty. There are so many instances I can think of off-hand that would be a complete joke with two people. For one person, it's very challenging, yes. But I believe the fix to that is a checkpoint system (which I think they said they are adding, right?). Adding more players would make this easier than beating up Haskill with 501 CP at level 10.

    I don't think the answer is to remove the solo content, but to have an option for those min/max group centric players to have another way to obtain those BiS items that doesn't involve them being forced into content they simply don't enjoy.

    How ever I wouldn't object to a new 2 man thing in a future DLC. 4 groups are nice solo test your skills and traisl are jsut a cluster of wuts and then a 2 man thing will test your bonds with your friends and you'll love them or be cursing them out after wards XD

    I pay to play this game and love it. I don't find the new content difficult (having cleared it within 3 attempts). But I've been in a total of 9 times and I'm already bored of it.     And what I am saying is leave things as they are.

    If you want a duo arena, ask for one. A new arena. Designed for two players and two players only.
    There just might be other roles to fit in a duo arena than just pure damage builds.

    2 people would be awesome for vMSA.

    I'd have a buddy healer running Spellpower Cure / Combat Prayer for the boss fights.

    And if he/she wanted to DPS, I'd switch to my healer too with the exact same setup above.

    Just give me an option to save my progress.If I leave my leader board place is forfeit. Gives more casual players a chance at completing it and there's s till a chance at a weapon in the last chest anyway.

    There is much more content planned for the future. Eventually, I'm sure ZOS will make some really difficult 2-man challenge trial. At least I hope they do!

    But Maelstrom Arena.... I like to keep this as an extremely hard solo experience.

    One thing to note is that ZOS will undoubtedly include a Master-class weapon for each ability in Weapon Skill Lines (5). Considering "Master" weapons come from vDSA, and "Maelstrom" weapons come from vMSA, it's safe to assume that three more arenas wil appear in the future.

    go suggest making new trial for 2 or 3 or 4 or 9000 people, since the game does not have any end-game PvE beside maelstrom

    Not everyone has 6-7 hours per day they can put into the game. I lead a guild and put most of my effort into my team and ensuring we have every world record and are ready for taking on new trial content (such as vMOL coming out). I just know I'd get more playtime in vMA if I was going in as a unit, not alone (my opinion, not a demand).

    So, yes, sometimes I log into the game solely to get my weekly vMA run done. Sometimes I log into the game solely to run a Sanctum group. Sometimes I log into the game solely for my crafting writs.

    If I'm enjoying the way I play the game then I'm *definitely not playing the wrong game. You misinterpret my intention in creating this poll. I'm not saying to remove 1-man content (I solo'd every quest in the game before I bothered joining a guild practically). I'm trying to grasp the community's opinion on 1-man end game content and whether additional options for groups in the same content would be viable. So coming here and telling me how to play my game is hardly conducive to this discussion.

    I would absolutely love a future 2-person challenge, but vet Maelstrom would be a faceroll with more than one person. It's a challenge in the first place because you have to do everything yourself.

    I would prefer 4-man group content because its usually more dynamic, with multiple different classes, builds etc.

    If vMSA had 2-man option tank/healer builds could also complete it without changing their entire build.

    Would seem fair based on the "play how you want argument".

    ^There will be as much vdsa,vmsa type stuff as u have skillslots. So we look at 5 overall, also there are 3 to come if they continue that road, wich was clear when they introduced vdsa.

    Next a 2 Player trial would be a lot of fun. Could be Kinda Hard to make Leaderboards for it, but if u think about it for around 5 Minutes it is easy to come up with a solution for this.

    It would also push the reason to replay that stuff, but yeah, just some ideas out of my head.

    When VR Ranks are gone, DONT make items equipable based on a certain ammount of CP @ZOS_GinaBruno , it is a huge fail if a company decides to let created content die and it come to uselessness. Be smarter than the other ones and be sure ppl will buy the dlcs anyway ^^

    I would really like to see more 2-player instanced content. Its very easy to get one other person to go adventuring with. A buddy and I went and duoed a lot of the 4-man pledge and craglorn dungeons (or just got as far as we could) just for the challenge. It would be nice to see more content catered to that.

    Brand new 4-man dungeons and 12-man trials is all PvE ppl need :p 2-man will work fine too I guess.
