Rewards for the worthy drops are also worthless. Now what should I do? Pick flowers? Lol, not a chance in hell.

Buy items with Tel Var stones and sell them instead. TV is the new AP.

The problem with that is that you are forced to PvP/PvE in the IC. I suspect that the place will be a ghost town in 3 months, which makes it basically a PvE zone.

At which point the new content will (hopefully) be out and ZOS will update all the boxes you can buy for AP to VR16 any way.

I hope youre right, but it seems that their failure to do so already was intentional. They seem to want a tighter grip on how much regen, spellpower, etc is available to us.

Harrods GM here, to be a successful Trade guild you dont need to demand donations. Retaining a decent Trade spot in Craglorn is sometimes enough now with tax to make profit

It was intentional at this time to stop people with millions of AP gearing up instantly and skipping the gear chase others had to do. IIRC they will let these sets come into AP reward boxes at a later date when the "chase" is over.

Gold is easy to make. i make 20 - 25k a day JUST from theiving alone. takes me about 20 - 30 minutes to gather/sell my 140 fenced items and make that amount. i only sell blue and green stolen items which always nets me 20k+

not sure if it is a scheme since my bounty is over 2 mill. but other than having to bank my money and avoid guards, there is no real risitance to stop a criminal like myself. would be nice if they added some opposition with finishing the justice system already. though i have a feeling we wont see that till after theives guild and Dark brotherhood DLCs are released.

... How. . . How do you even reach a bounty of 500k? Let alone 2M. You must be like the Lupin the 3rd of Elder Scrolls Online. I'm almost certain that once the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild is introduced, you'll reach Rank 10 or Rank 50 in the skill tree in no time.

And now the easiest way to make gold is to actually do the new IC content, currently Willpower arcane rings selling for over 600k on average, plus so many new items you can make millions of gold with a bit of luck and a decent Trade guild ( Harrods Recruiting EU Traders ;) ).

Being a thief is not viable to make gold when compared to IC trading atm, goto IC, do new content and enjoy the gold from new items you can sell. Shards for vaults sell for almost 2k each on EU, new mats for VR16 selling for crazy gold, break down gear you get to get these mats and sell them.

Gold is easy to come by you just have to be persistent, have big trade guild and some common sense as to how the market inflates with new content.

i'm pretty sure soem bots must exist. otherwise i would never understand how perfect roe e.g. goes for such a low price. i think i could make more money per time in IC while playing with my feet. players cannot possibly be so bad that salvage stuff + trophies + TVS yields remotely as little income as fishing.

the sa<me thing was true before the patch with farming almost everything. sure, some people want to go for master angler, some may be crazy enough to actually enjoy fishing. still, roe going for less than a nirncrux is just crazy given that there is a decent to large demand and supply can only be provided by a boring action that only a small fraction of the palyer base enjoys and pursues.

that being said, every trader knows that early after the pathc is when the big bucks are made. i have spend about 2m last week and gotten 1.8m back in even though my main trading guild failed to get a trader and i got a second one only on saturday. now that i have my full non-wgt-drop V16 set, i can focus on profits. hwoever, i expect that i will spend/sell less and less in every week from now on.

Hence, some trading guilds surely use banked money to get their traders in these crucial weeks

some rewards go for decent money. if in IC, you can get TVS turn them into shieldbreaker/phoenix/black rose V16 and sell those. if you're lucky with the item slot and trait, this can be a HUGE chunck of money.

I find it pretty easy to make money from PvP right now thanks to the TVS.
I use AP for the retreat things and port back every time i have around 1.5 - 2.5k stones on my.

at 2.5k this means 10k AP safe me 250 stones over a pve suicide. right now, I can turn 8k stones into about 200k gold on average when gambling for TVS gear (less for helm/shoulder, 150k for other pieces with meh traits. haven't had a "perfect trait" hit yet but i expect much more and those i assume 200k on avg).

Since i'm not sure lets assume 150k for 10k stones instead to be conservative. That would mean the 250 stones saved over a pve suicide are worth 3750gold with the conservative estimate. 3750 gold for 10k AP is still a very decent exchange rate, albeit not as good as it was at its peak

Pretty sure someone would have to be a millionaire in RL to afford that much gold weekly via RMT.

Im in a trading guild that switched to a 5k weekly fee for the "rights" to sell using the vendor. I used to sell 1million+ a week, now i just dismantle all the skirmisher, drough king, or really any set that is good.

Gold is so easy that it doesnt even matter. Throw away millions but i have millions more. Sucks my guild doesnt get taxes but hey i dont support that kind of forced donations.

    Why? What's 5k to 1mil? Lol

But you also need to kick people eventually if they're not selling anything. Because not generating tax and hogging a spot that could be used for active traders.

Most Craglorn guild(as far as I know) gives lazy or inactive sellers a choice, to donate gold for minimum seller rank instead of getting kicked. So you do need to donate to stay in top trade guilds, if you suck at selling items.

I have nothing against that system. What I mean to say is, that's likely where this misconception is coming from. People think top trade guild GMs demand donations from members, forcing them to pay, when it's a given choice to inactive traders.

I, who actually sell stuff, haven't been asked to donate anything in over a year in any trade guild. But dunno, maybe different on console?

When there are hundreds of traders paying guild trader tax and buying raffle tickets, it all adds up.
