Players, I was in a guild that stayed maxed out and folks that didn't sell 3k a week were kicked. I myself made no less than 60k but as much as 200k a week. Farm, Craft, Quest and sell.

I was kicked from a guild for selling items.... undercutting when the guild leader told me that i can undercut because i was complaining about others undercutting me... then the guild leader got sick and the new one kicked me without notice.... funny how things work... i can make about 1m gold a week.... but the issue im having is getting everyone else in guild to participate.

Because those guilds rip off their members and many of them endure it.
Always begging for donations and yea, many even demand weekly or monthly payments.

I'm sure the guild masters of these guilds have 50 million on their bank but refuse giving anything to maintain the guild. Only rumors, but it could be true.

Because they are greedy. They achieve a big portion of the gold you make when you sell items on the store. If you sell them in chat, they don't get anything and this is making them angry.

3k a week from 100k is not that much tbh.... most taxes in all other mmo's are 5-10%

or malachite shards? or just the regular vr 15~16 mats that are goind for 1k each in some guilds.

Make three (or atleast 2) nightblade characters (bosmer/Khajiit for the stealthy passives) level them to VR1 and level Legerdemain to 18-20 on all three (put skill points in hiding, pick pocketing, and especially Trafficar) and then steal with them in vr5 or greater zones, I can make like $60k+ a day if I do that, of course I am kinda lazy so I make about 20-30k a day instead, but it works, when I keep it up for like a month I make alot of money (1-2 million easily a month), without selling stuff.

Im in a trading guild that switched to a 5k weekly fee for the "rights" to sell using the vendor. I used to sell 1million+ a week, now i just dismantle all the skirmisher, drough king, or really any set that is good.

Gold is so easy that it doesnt even matter. Throw away millions but i have millions more. Sucks my guild doesnt get taxes but hey i dont support that kind of forced donations.

Do you not play a whole lot? Just asking because if you were to vendor all items and just complete the quests you would probably have over 300k by the time you hit caldwells gold.

If you do not want or do not have the time to play chaotic merchant tycoon minigame instead of burning crap with fire you will be perpetually stuck somewhere around 50k. I just stooped caring. I would rather not have much coin than partake in that crap.

It really depends on how you play the game. Some people play this game like a paper trading simulator.

I know one individual that uses all their guild slots for trading guilds and tries to price fix certain alchemy ingredients. Searching all other stores and buying any ingredients up that are under the set price then reselling them for the same price across multiple stores.

This kind of behavior is fun for some people. They have no room for social guilds but for them the purpose game is see how much gold they can get.

There comes a point where you have more gold then you can ever use but that is not the point. People have more money than they can ever use IRL as well but are still driven to make more.

Yes there are grinds, tricks, but most of the people making tons of gold in this game are just using simple economic manipulation.

Buy low. Sell high.

Agreed. While an AH might be easier to navigate, it wrecks the value of items. I would love to locate items easier, but rare items should be difficult to obtain.

Class balance, OP skills, Faction Choice, PVP tactics, world best PvE times, highest DPS achieved...

The player base of this game is childish and toxic. The current system for trading works fine if you actually get involved in it, not even to a massive extent either. You join a trade guild, you sell your rare/good loot you don't need via that guild, you make money.

Also make sure you're actually doing the activities which make you money, like crafting writs, having all refining skills maxed to get gold tempers, end game content where valuable set items drop etc.

Most players will never need more than 100k gold on their character to survive day to day life. If you want to be the best of the best you need to work for it and make gold however, this is the way it is in all games and even RL.
