Why not just make the sorc sheilds like the argonian minders in round 7 of malestrom arena they would still absorb damage the same way and the same amount they normally do but it would just be an aoe sheild in one place and when u leave out of it you would then take damage it would still be instant. Thats seems like a good change and should help the complaints about aheild stacking . And my main character is a sorc and i wouldnt miind having that.

I agree with Kwivur this will be worse than a direct shield nerf. in PvE if you don't move you get one shotted shields are made to protect against every other mechanic IE projectile spams.

Free AP = standing still and waiting..... The sorc class revolved around the ability to Kite not the ability to take damage standing still....

@PCheuk38b14_ESO. No you would still be able to fight while standing in it and it would just be like a regular ward you would just have to be in the area to use it.

Not sure where this "shields are OP" thing comes from. As a Sorc, I have no trouble killing other sorcs ... and I have no trouble dying either.

I never said sorcs were op but thats all isee is people complaining about the sheilds so i was trying to give a suggestions and because of what was said on last eso live.

You don't have to be in a zerg to use Aoe xD

You don't have to be in a zerg to use Aoe xD

there is no reason for using the weakest skills ingame if u r not in a zerg

or fighting against a zerg (what u do when ur in a zerg :P or dead some seconds later)

Proxy + meteor/soul tether + sap is great 1vx.

Sap - Aoe heal, nice dmg and range gives major sorcery.

Steel tornado - Mini execute, huge range and does good dmg - Useful in small group situation.

Aoe - Only reliable way to get nb's out of stealth.

I use burning breath on my stam dk because it gets nb's out of stealth and the fracture it useful overall.

I usually just ult + aoe spam on a resource to take it quickly.

There are plenty of reason, dawnbreaker is used all the time, it's aoe and one of the best ult's in the game, same with bat swarm.

Should always have at least 1 aoe.

Sorcs have to be mobile to survive. They're built to burst and get the hell out of dodge, so standing in one place would literally kill the skill line.

Did you know that there's a ton of stuff outside Cyrodiil?

And not every player likes pvp.

This wont even work on Maelstrom arena you mentioned lol. It forces you to move constantly because of aoes and stuff.
And imo its good. This game needs more dynamic fights, not just stack and tank&spank.
