In this content update ZOS decided to buff Rebirth by...

Healing Ritual: Reduced the cast time for this ability and its morphs by 25%, and reduced the healing done by 25%.

If your intention was to get healers to use this they wont. So I have some changes to propose to make Templar healing diverse and more fun

One of the biggest problems and reasons Healing Ritual is a heal like 0% of PvE healers and 5% of PvP healers use is because healing brings, BoL, Matriarch, even Cauterize on its initial cast... are Instant heals in some form or another

On paper Healing Ritual is a really really good AoE HoT Nuke heal but in reality it is a cast time heal that has no healing being done within the cast until final hit and is extremely dangerous to use and therefore not worth a slot on more then a majority of healers bars...

What I propose is you adjust the healing on Ritual of Rebirth... reduce its healing by 5% and reduce the cast time from 1.3 seconds to 1 second. What this will do is make it more of an on demand heal and will remove, not all but most of the issues this skill has not having instant initial healing. I think a range buff would be appropriate too to give this morph some tear over the other one and its proposed changes. Also rename it to Transient Ritual or something along those lines

For Lingering Ritual... Get rid of the secondary heal, there is very little benefit to this and the only way to get the maximum benefit is to spam it to a point where you are getting the secondary heal back to back so that you have a "healing springs" sort of effect but simply not as good or viable. What I would like to see this skill do is add a HoT to the cast initially so that the heals from this skill are "on demand"

Healing Springs is x then x every second for 3 seconds I think the HoT of this skill should be significantly less then HS but still good enough to the point were the specific morph has its benefits and still functions in the way I have proposed, so perhaps (since the 'linger effect is 1/3 of the tooltip of the final heal on the original skill) change the skill to ... "heals x every .5s and rebirth your allies for 3x"

Going off my tool tip on a somewhat geared template on PTS (on my dual wield bar (we'll get to that)) "8482 and 2910 after 8 seconds" translate that into my proposal (I know this isn't 100% bulletproof math but im just estimating to give a general idea) "heals 2910 every every .5 seconds and rebirth your allies for 8482"... know obviously 2910 evey half second is *** OP on tool tip so lets balance a little... "heals for x every .5s and rebirth your allies for 9x"

This would end up being (going of my pts tooltip) "heals for 942 every .5s and rebirth your allies for 8482" which in my opinion is appropriate

You would also highjack the other morphs name and rename Lingering Ritual .. Ritual of Rebirth

Part of the reason I decided to make this post was because when I was thinking about how the skill could be changed I thought of a healer build with the skill that diversified templar healing alot and thought would be really cool and in the realm of what ZOS wants to do with class diversity

Basically having these changes would enable templar healers to use a Destro + Dual Swords build and still be effective healers and would diversify templars from the majority of healer builds using Destro Resto

Let me know what you think, if anything is unclear I will do my best to clear it up.

    No. Healing Spring's radius is 8 meters. Its range is 28 meters.
