Animations - Let's talk about them.

Hi,

My experience is that animations are pretty smooth, comfortable and responsive on life. On PTS I found that I was not comfortable with them, there's something strange about it when I am weaving, doesn't feel responsive, feels clumsy.
Is it me? What are your thoughts about it? I think it's pretty important, I really think this will have a big impact on how the players will feel the game, I personally love the actual animations and the animation canceling and all, I don't need to see if my enemy is weaving or not.

Serious discussion there, important stuff.

    I Don't notice all that much a difference, but I am not that good at it, so my old hands are probably too slow to be in the overlap like described in the first post

    If you are using visual cues to time your weaving then you're going to need to relearn it, as the animations are significantly different. If you're timing it with second counts or something like that, it doesn't seem to have changed. Granted, I only did cursory testing on this and did a bunch of PvP fighting where it all seemed normal, so your mileage may vary.

    When you're constantly light weaving your attacks and you're spaming habilities all the time, like in malestrom arena, it gets unplayable to me :(

    Weaving with staff feels clunky and slower and less fun. But it's still possible and maybe can adjust. But I don't like this change.

    Don't forget, you can activate cast time & channel abilities inside gap closer animations now.

    Poop out invisible wrecking blows inside your crit Rush animations, Jesus beam people while you're toppling charging them, it just goes on and on.

    All the disappoint.

    Honestly the more the merrier. Nobody wants to see this go to live.
