PTS extremely unstable

I don't know if a thread has been made already about this, but I'll just go ahead.

Since the EU character copies the client seems to be crashing extremely often. I am currently sitting with a group in Maw of Lorkhaj and there is at least 2 crashes every minute. It isn't only annoying but it also makes it really hard to do the trial right now. During the mobpull after the first boss 5 people crashed with only few seconds difference. There is almost no moment where we have the full group up. We tried turning off our addons, but it didn't make a difference. Convienently, we mostly seem to crash during fights but not while we are waiting for others to log back in.

Any fixes anytime soon for the PTS stability? @ZOS_GinaBruno :neutral:

    Are you seeing these frequent crashes outside of Maw, or just while you're inside the Trial?

    While I can't speak for @Wollust , we were seeing the same stability issues in HRC and AA when trying to test the scoring problems. It made it virtually impossible to test anything and draw any conclusions as to how it would perform on live. It was bad enough that we didn't even bother testing SO.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno I was in Hews Bane for around half an hour just standing around and didn't experience any crashes. Can't tell about the others. But inside of MoL we are just crashing constantly while in combat.

    Are you seeing these frequent crashes outside of Maw, or just while you're inside the Trial?

    In MoL it looks like:

    There are more crushes for 64bit client users then 32bit client users.
    Crushes happens mostly during the intence combat.
    There are not a single crash outside of action.

    Outside of trial I've got only one crash but I'm not sure was it a combat or not.

    After 2.3.2 patch game indeed became very unstable. Me and my friends crashing constantly in Cyro. Plus activating Rapid Maneuver heavily reducing fps to 8 with some weird background sound.

    Last week when I had my own chars I also crashed in combat, approximately once per each pull... maybe I was able to finish one pull without crashing, but the next made the client crash. That was with the 64 bit client AND with the 32 bits one too. And the crashes happens with or without addons.

    In my case, I was not doing Trial, just fighting trash mobs in Old Orsinium public dungeon to try to gauge the effects of the nerfs on my char.

    All the crashes were caught and reported by the reporter tool, but I don't think you give those reports enough importance, IMO.

    Because of the constant crashing, I decided to ignore PTS and not do any testing, since I have very few spare time to play games.

    Thanks for the report on this. We get crash logs whenever someone crashes on PTS and we are tracking down any issues. We think we've found one of the more persistent crash bugs that is affecting players and hope to have it fixed soon. It is our highest priority right now.

    Glad to hear. By the way, we are on the second boss and haven't had any crashes in over an hour. The crashes seemed to be limited to the mobpulls in between the boss and at the beginning of the dungeon.
    Edit: At least for our group in MoL. No idea about other people in other trials or whatever.

    Not only that but last week I noticed a tremendous improvements in regards to FPS on the 64 bit client, today's patch has done a 180 and made things worse. I used to have around 78+ fps now even if I'm nowhere near anyone the game's fps drops to 10 and stays there as opposed to being a momentary hiccup like it is on the live server for NA. Reason I point this issue out is any other game I play I never experience this massive dip in fps like I do here and all started for me around IC update and seems to progressively get worse. Since the first couple weeks of TG's 64 bit client was on PTS I wasn't having near as bad a problem and actually got my hopes up as the game getting fixed and now after today it has sunk that hope.

    That's a very good point! I just realised we raider for hours and I think we only had 1 crash on bosses while almost every member multiple times on trash specifically the first event, we couldn't go a round without 4/5 people crashing every time we tried, so it may be something in the trash pulls causing this

    For 3 hours of our Trial tests we were stuck at the 1st Add-Event cause of crashes. For all 3 hours we had only 3 fights without crashes - 1st boss kill, and 2 attempts for this Event. Crushing tanks, crushing healers, crushing DPS up to 2-3 ppl per fight is sad.

    By the way, as soon as the Vitality Bonus of 32 lives was emptied, we got 2 times less crashes but it was still insane and annoying.

    on the mac, crashes anywhere, anytime, even hardly doing anything (see here)
