Anyone got a good PvE Sorcerer Tank build?

Hail,

I have got a Sorc who is a full DPS, maxed out gold gear and all that. Basically I am tired of the DPS role and pressing the same 4 buttons over and over. I would really like to re-spec to a Tank. I want to be able to run ALL end game content. This would be fully for dungeons and trials. I am burnt out on PvP.

I got plenty of champion points as well and my race is an Argonian (I know we suck at everything). So if anyone might have a build to recommend and how to adjust it based on my race choice I would surely appreciate it!

Sorcs are not great tanks past Vet CoA.

Can they tank trial runs? Yeah, but not optimality. However, being an Argonian greatly limits your viability at tanking, healing or even DPSing.

I'd stick with the DPS, but if you must try tanking, here's the build I use:

(4 piece) Armor of the Construct
(5 piece) Seducer
(3 piece Ring, Ring, Amulet) Endurance

5 Heavy, 1 light, 1 Medium
Endurance has Arcane, all glyphs Arcane
Use my taunts, shield stack, repeat

Look at the link I dropped below from "The Warded Guardian" on the "Battlemaster's Corner." It's a genius Magicka Sorc Tank build by @Zlater that I use now over my original Sorc Tank build and despite what @Nirvava4EM said, I have successfully completed all Vet dungeons with relative ease (well, ICP is never easy =-P). It takes some practice to get down, but once you have it, you can conquer anything.

Hey I'm a Magicka Sorcerer tank myself, I'm Breton but argonian should be fine. Here's the build I use :

I tried several sets of armor recently, the latest is this one :

3 Alessia's Bulwark (Armor pieces)
5 Armor Master ( 4 Armor pieces + Shield)
2 Willpower (jewels)
2 Endurance (jewel + weapons)

This is fully heavy, sword and board in the first bar, restoration staff in the second, with an extra set of sword & board just in case.

Before that, I played with 4 Alessia (including shield) and 4 Spectre's Eye, 6 Heavy & 1 Light. It works well too if you don't have access to the armor master. The defense is lower but still over 30k.

About the mundus stone, I mostly use Magicka Regen to be around 1300/1400, but sometimes I switch to max Stamina, combined with some robust traits on the jewels to reach (or get close to) 16000 Stamina in trials (those instances are more suited for stamina/hybrid tanking than pure magicka, from what I've experienced so far).

About the skills, here's what I play with :

Bar 1:
Hardened Ward
Pierce Armor
Absorb Magic (it's mostly here for the passive bonus)
Harness Magicka
Bound Aegis

Suppression Field

Bar 2
Restraining Prison (can be replaced by hardened ward on some bosses that don't require a crowd control ability)
Inner Fire
Liquid Lightning (Usefull to aggro packs of mobs, the other morph is nice too since it's bigger)
Boundless Storm
Bound Aegis

Energy Overload

Bar 3
Mage's Wrath
Inner Fire
Hardened Ward
Boundless Storm
Bound Aegis

The 3rd Bar with Energy Overload is great to add some DPS while you tank.
Streak is nice too, I use it on the Lord Warden Dusk in ICP for example, cause the room is big and the boss moves a lot.
